Yeah, I thought it was something like that ?. Thank you, Les. -
Models are usually tall and look anorexic.

Thanks, Jim, I looked at Vallejo and it's probably what I end up with. Very impressive. I have one of their weathering kits. -

Can't find it, Leslie. I joined under an "alias" and looked all over the home page. Is it on another page, maybe? -
Us model builders are a strange breed; but a good strange. ?

Consensus at present is we have no flipping idea what that means. ?

Ingredient "A" was the reason Brand "X" was more effective than Brand "Y", conclusively.

Did some stuff on this one today. Some foil went down pretty well, glass is in and door handles (one door handle ) and tail lights, gas cap and trunk handle all installed, all were pinned with .020 brass. While holding one of the door handles with tweezers,in an attempt to set it in place with a tiny drop of CA on the brass pin, it suddenly shot up like a rocket and disappeared into ??? I never heard it land, which I always listen for (I'm fully experienced at this) and this '40 coupe will be missing a door handle until maybe I find it like next November ?. Or never. I got the running boards and radiator painted too. And the floor botoms. Yay. Not eager to attach those windshield wipers ?. Some quick mock-ups fer ya. ?

Well, I can attest to that, boss.

Wow, Jim, that chopper is going to keep you busy for a good long time! Big scale too! The Mustang is on my list. I'm starting at the beginning. I'm going to build all the planes my Dad flew. He was an instructor and taught French cadets how to fly our planes shortly after the end of the war. First up is the PT-17 that I got at Ollie's (thanks to you, sir) . When I was a toddler he built for me all of the ones he had hours in. I don't remember what became of them. I feel like I should reconstitute the collection. I don't know what took me so long but when I saw that Stearman, it all came crashing down on me. It's a beautiful aircraft. Dad was Army Air Corps and the kit includes both Navy and Army markings. Oh, no, that gloss purple is just a solid color. You need the grape metallic.

James! I was just poking around the "everything else" threads and came upon your WWII aircraft build. I thought it was interesting that many of us gearheads are closet "air-heads" ?Could it be that many of us baby-boomers had WWII daddies that flew those warbirds? I think so.

Was I not clear about my peculiarities?

Backsides or frontsides, either is OK with me ?

Thinking is the hardest thing to do if you've been indoctrinated to feel instead.
