I just seem to find "airbrush" overly complicated, compressors, hoses, numerous guns, or nozzles, i'm sure as your a 30 year veteran you have it down to a "T" perfect setup perfect paintbooth, all your paints organized and mixxed, I just like to select my primer, my Can of color and paint my vehicle, sometimes polish it up a bit or clear cote and wala i'm done. I will have to post some pictures some seriously "groovy" as Bartster would say can be painted via rattle cans and proper layering i'm working on 2 cars with "Bartster" here on the forum he laid down some very nice flame jobs on 2 bodys with rattle cans!! will dig out the bodys and post pics... -

serious adult hobbyist?? Its just that, and i'm sure many folks out there are like my wife they roll their eyes grown adult men playing with little plastic "TOY" cars and trucks.....I do take my hobby seriously, but I feel by not having a professional airbrush or a paintbooth is irrelevent........ I was born and raised in minnesota, so a winter like this winter this year , Yeah i can understand your need for a booth and preference of using airbrush, The rest of us we do what we like I too agree with previous statements about tamayia laqures and the new testors one coats very good paints no sanding polishing necessary -
with all the hype of the newly re issued superstones f 350 truck i had overlooked somewhere about there being 3 vehicles by ford with firestones tires the f150 truck with the offroad tires the ford courier mini truck performance tires? and ford econoline van regular street tires? i just got a sweepstakes magazine ad from flea bay will post image as soon as i get it! i have the courier mini truck kit, and now the newly issued superstones f 350 and i recently got a van junklot thats in my striptank! i would love to build the "triage" of all 3 will probly nee the most help with the econoline! should be fun!!

not too bad of a kit can be kitbashed into a very decent mustang with the revell monogram mustang kits, chassis pan fits well and it far more detailed, its basically a snap kit its very dissapointing too with decals as i got hold of 3 variations of the kit i wanted the black cobra to have the green cobra decals used on the car, but they are dry dransfer decals and i had no luck they crumbled...... but i am working away on 2 of my 3 as backburner projects, i have a bunch of junk lot monogram chassis convertable parts so hopefully i can make something cool of my kits! i do feel they did pretty well on the body, this particilar model and the way its made make for a very easy version to open up the rear hatch liftgate!! good luck pm me if you have any questions or need parts.....

I do thats the only way i know! sometimes i do a light mist cote along the rockers on the bottom, i eiter simply get not enough paint on the rockers or too much! so if i mist a lite cote on the rockers let it dry a bit the other mists of paint from the top down have something to stick to, hope this helps -
very cool, i've got one in mythical maroon, not sure what to do for the interior, probly white/ creame? i'm sure i've got the fender skirts if you would like a set if they are not already on my build.....

the 87-93' mustang kits by amt/ mpc have a more rounded smoother belt moulding that much closer resembles the 85-86 mouldings as compared to the mpc 79-84 kits which all have the 79- 82ish looking rub strips..... the other positive note is the newer body has the 5.0 scripts/ emblems already on the body! as far as the "gt" thats moulded into the rub strips just behind the doors i'm ok without that on my version in 1/25 scale will not have that (i'm not skilled enough to engrave something that small and detailed) maybe use some of the small "gt" decals from the 83-84 mustang kits.....?? -
I beleive Harry Neil young would say " Keep on rockin in the free world" or in the back of my mind as i'm listening to that tune my Brainwaves playback..... " keep on buildin those model cars....."
