  6. I got some pics: http://s162.photobucket.com/albums/t265/BR-BR/San%20Diego%20NNL%202012/ and I saw David Dale's album: http://public.fotki.com/daviddale/model-car-contests-2012/san-diego-nnl-2012/ Brian
  7. Well, I’ve got the models packed up and ready to go to the NNL tomorrow. Brian
  8. Well, I’ve got 380 built and on display – HO scale to 1/16th with the majority 1/25th. Brian
  9. Good weathering !! Brian
  10. Crazyjim I agree, one blade lasts a very long time. I keep a special blade just for bare metal and sharpen it before each use. I used to have a flat ceramic and stone sharpener but the ceramic rods in the holder are so easy to use I don’t even get the flat stone out any more. Brian
  11. Try the sharpener from Harbor Freight. Five bucks saves a lot of blades. http://www.harborfreight.com/handheld-knife-sharpener-94620.html Brian
  12. Probably too low - figure what you really need: http://modelpaint.tripod.com/booth2.htm Brian
  13. I built this replica a few years back. The outside looks close but the model has the Ford interior - close enough! Brian

    Lotus 56

That sure looks like a brother to the one I saw today, nice work! Brian
  15. Yes, Rusty posted this on the Kitbasher board today about the contest: Things are pretty much the same. The only real difference is that there is no longer a modified die-cast class, it has been replaced with large scale class. Other than that, still going to be there all three days. Entries will be accepted all day Friday and Saturday, and Sunday until 12:00 noon. Those who enter on Friday or Saturday will receive a free admission for Sunday. Parking fees are not included. I can use another volunteer or two at this point. As it sits, there may be openings all three days. PM me if interested. I have not heard from Darryl either. It is difficult, after all, for him to get good info for the models when the entrants are not always near by. But of course he is welcome as always. As far as I am aware right now, we will still be in building #5. Hope to see you all out there. Thanks
  16. Very nice old classics Brian
  17. Davin, When you're done, we can meet on the salt and see how they run. This was the AMT kit also, that front needs a lot of work. Brian
  18. Kind of looks like the Dodge Colt from Race Motor Replicas. http://www.freewebs.com/rmrresin/nf125.htm Brian

  22. George, You're not alone. I've ordered using my shortcut before but not now. Bill's right, even that compatability button doesn't help. I thought it was just my problem last week but now I see you're having the same issue. IE8 is doing something wierd! Brian
