  5. Very cool! Revell Parts Pack rims?
  6. I know! But, I guess he had his fun and he did not build anymore. But, he did keep a mint Revell Surf Fink, Monogram Little T and another kit I can seem to recall. Said he wanted to give them to his grandson and maybe build those with him. I was tempted to offer him some current re-issues in trade, but, I already got some good stuff, Why be greedy?
  7. So, I get an email from a gentleman who got my info off the club website. He has some old models that he would like to get rid of. The wife said clean the shed and he no longer builds. He tells me they are mostly parts and some old builds from when he was a kid in the 60's and if I don't take them, they will be going into the trash! As it turns out, it was the early 60's! It is a mixture of builds, parts and almost complete kits. Started going through it last night and this is what I have found so far. Will post more when I sorted it out better
  8. Yes, the lack of a windshield frame had me hoping, but you are right, it does not have the AWB chassis.
  9. Very nice tin work! Great job all around and to be honest, most new slicks are pretty darn shiny when new, so I will go with new slicks.
  10. Different! I like it!
  11. An F-85 funny re-issue would be awesome! No more crazy collector prices!
  12. Whoops! I assumed it was. I saw the Snap Next to the Vette and thought it was that whole lineup next to it! Sorry I freaked you guys out
  13. Ok, all Datsun 510 cars in Japan are called Bluebirds. U.S. is Datsun 510 and the rest of the world, Datsun 1600. The fastback style roof version is a Bluebird Coupe and it has that very distinctive roof line. The roof is actually lower and thus none of the glass interchanges between the coupe and the two door. The tail lights are another telltale sign that it is a coupe. There where other tail light options in Japan and other countries, but, but the coupe just came with one style. And yes, they are sequential And the interior is also special to the Coupe, with a full compliment of gauges instead of idiot lights. Also, the rear seat folds down to make more trunk space and the door panels run all the way to the top of the door for a more luxurious effect! They also came with the SSS package with includes a more sporty engine with dual carbs and some flashy SSS badges. The Coupe was mostly a Japan only car and it was not offered in the U.S. Over the years a few have been imported along with some of the unique parts and they have been used by guys like me with the domestic version of the car. Hope that helps! Jesse C,
  14. I highly doubt a Snap Together kit will have more than the picture on the box. I just hope the stripe is not painted on!
  15. Torino is snap together! I guessed correctly! And yes on the Rabbit! Is it a Revell Germany mold?
  16. Wow! Nice build!!
  17. Union Models 510 is the Revell Brock Buster kit that was last issued as the Tuner kit. The only difference is the box and instructions. They also released the BRE 510 Race car and the BRE 240Z At one time they where the only way to get these kits until Revell re-issued them.
  18. So, what are your plans for the old Hornets chassis?
  19. He does make some good stuff and I have dealt with him in the past. I've even had a beer with the guy! But, his business dealings leave quite a bit to be desired. He dealt with my late friend Skip Samples, who also did custom decal work for him, and thus treated us, at least Skip, with respect and urgency. For some time I would always sort of stick up for him when bad things about him and his business where posted. And why not, he had not done me wrong, and to be honest, still has not, but, I have not done business with him in a long time. Two things really pushed me to stop dealing with him and to stop trying to stick up for him. First, I did not like the way he asked me about our friend Skip's decals and files when Skip fell ill and eventually passed away. There is more to that, but, it is not for public consumption at this time. Second, my friend Kyle Allen ordered some items from him and he kept stalling and promising him to get his stuff delivered. He did not take care of it. I contacted Don on behalf of my friend Kyle and Don assured me that he would take care of it and even throw in some extra stuff to make up for it. It never arrived. That was over two years ago. So to you all I say this, Proceed at your own peril and Caveat Emptor!
  20. Nice stash, Austin! And those 620's are very nicely done! Always wanted a King Cab version of one of those. More leg room!!
  21. A modern day classic! Nice!!
