  1. So, what are your plans for the old Hornets chassis?
  2. He does make some good stuff and I have dealt with him in the past. I've even had a beer with the guy! But, his business dealings leave quite a bit to be desired. He dealt with my late friend Skip Samples, who also did custom decal work for him, and thus treated us, at least Skip, with respect and urgency. For some time I would always sort of stick up for him when bad things about him and his business where posted. And why not, he had not done me wrong, and to be honest, still has not, but, I have not done business with him in a long time. Two things really pushed me to stop dealing with him and to stop trying to stick up for him. First, I did not like the way he asked me about our friend Skip's decals and files when Skip fell ill and eventually passed away. There is more to that, but, it is not for public consumption at this time. Second, my friend Kyle Allen ordered some items from him and he kept stalling and promising him to get his stuff delivered. He did not take care of it. I contacted Don on behalf of my friend Kyle and Don assured me that he would take care of it and even throw in some extra stuff to make up for it. It never arrived. That was over two years ago. So to you all I say this, Proceed at your own peril and Caveat Emptor!
  3. Nice stash, Austin! And those 620's are very nicely done! Always wanted a King Cab version of one of those. More leg room!!
  4. A modern day classic! Nice!!
  5. I have a car themed room. i call it "My Garage!"
  6. Steve Magnante is a former Editor for Hot Rod Magazine and a few other rags. He was one of the guys to bring back vintage style cars and models to Hot Rod. He actually did a write up about building models straight out the box, like a kid used to or like someone who can not use paints in a Hotel Room while on the road. I've met Steve and he came across to me as a genuine guy. At least easier to talk to than the other "Car Show" types out there. Anyway, I think his build is pretty cool. I would have totally done that as a kid!
  7. This is the built up Tamiya brought to the IPMS show here in June. They did some nice upgrades to their G Nose Z
  8. They could do a Snap kit for the S&H car. It would be more cost effective in the long run. Maybe they are trying to snag the General Lee crown for the most kits sold with a Torino
  9. Wow! That decals sheet is way better! I need to get one just for the decals. Since I have a few of the old ones still Old pic, btw
  10. You are correct, Sir. The wagon is a solid axle car. My friend stuck a Ford 8.8 rear end in his. So, one can mod as needed, and there are a few wagons that have the IRS conversion on them. It is pretty wild to see a wagon with tons of negative camber!
  11. Go nuts! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/drag-cars-in-motion-picture-thread.228509/
  12. I want to convert the Hasegawa 4 door into a Wagon. Yes, there is a market for them. My friend John wants one to replicate his wagon
  13. The Snake and Mongoose Front Engine Hot Wheels Dragsters. Such lack of detail and poor execution of assembly layout. For years, these where on my Holy Grail list, and to finally get them and really look at them was rather dissapointing. Too bad.
  14. Amazing detail and work, very nice indeed!
  15. Very nice and clean. I like the body stance on it!
  16. Nice start! I need to build me another one!
  17. AA/FA 285 is correct for this one!
  18. I just politely tell them that I only build for myself and that I barely even do that!
  19. One of my all time favorite kits! Nice job!
  20. Finally! A proper looking Baja Bug! Nice
  21. And don't forget the Ivo Liner as well
  22. Yes, they are! So get those plain white T's ready!
  23. Why is there a panic over a Swastika on a model kit? How about the Confederate Flag on the General Lee? Let the mayhem begin! And the Palm and Swastika was the logo of the Africa Korps and thus historically accurate
