  1. I bought two of those kit a few years back. They are from a company in Mexico that was very nice and courteous, until I had a complaint. They put my kits together from what appeared to be leftovers and cast offs. I was not very happy. Pete Johnson got one of them and we both where going to try and re-do the wheels. He figured out which Tamiay tires they used to cast theirs and he has a set. We both came to the conclusion that they used the parts out of the Safari version of the car to use on the ZG nosed car. I look forward to you tackling this one! Jesse C.
  2. Might as well join the fun! Vette and Courier on a great trade with Progplastic! Thanks Jim! The shop from a trade off another board and the Hillbilly Hot Rod and boat off the bay!
  3. I think I may have these decals and a spare Javelin. Mmmmhh........
  4. Not every gasser had a straight axle!!!!! Who cares if is has one or not and I really would rather have the BJM version instead of the cartoon version. Want a straight axle? Get some styrene rod!!
  5. The Cherry Pie is one of my all time favorites! Hopefully I can build mine soon!
  6. I miss seeing him at the California Hot Rod Reunion. Glad his work lives on!
  7. Well, I went to the farewell tour concert and then again two years later!
  8. Dang! I should send you my factory goofs! Nice save!! Get a T-Shirt that says "Ron Saves"! LOL!
  9. Bad Habit Motorsports decals used to make them
  10. I have a 72 Datsun 510 that is getting a Nissan 3.4 Liter V6 engine. It has BRE flares and a Subaru LSD rear end. Should scoot rather nicely when done! My daily is a 2008 Nissan Xterra What can I say, I'm a Nissan Man!
  11. Yeah, some of us are collectors! I keep adding to my stash because of a simple reason, I like model cars!
  12. I built it when I was a kid and thought it was great. Now, not so much. I started one and have yet to finish it. Good luck!
  13. Fremont Resin used to make the Gene Snow decals Correction! I am thinking of the earlier Gene Snow Car! Sorry!
  14. It seems that everytime I turn on one of those Car Auction show, they are selling this car! How many did they clone!! Sorry, I would rather buy something more unique.
  15. Thank you guys! Hopefully I can get to work on some other projects now!
  16. The studio chase in "Pee Wee's Big Adventure"!! Come on!
  17. Got my 1/16th scale order of two Blown BBC's and one Arias Hemi Chevy! Very nice stuff! Pics later. And a Voodoo Tactical Bag for my toys!
  18. I originally posted this in the Show Us Your Drag Racers thread, but I felt it needed to be on its own. Used a Jimmy Flintstone body over a Willy Borsch altered chassis. Scrounged up a BBC from the junk pile and made a new front axle to bring the nose up a bit and keep the bumper from scraping. I figured that if Willy could go Funny Racing, then JJ could get wild in an Altered! This was a nice slump buster!
  19. As seen on T.V.! Me and Rafter Man from Full Metal Jacket! And sorry, Paul, but I had her first!
  20. I joined the Revell and Monogram clubs when I was a kid. It sucked that you could not choose what you wanted for kits and I quit after I kept getting stuff I did not want or like. I joined up with AMT when they had the Blueprinter deal. I liked the exclusives they did and It would be cool to have something like that again!
  21. ebay and kit shows both have their place in this hobby. For the sellers, shows are a great way to quickly clear out some stuff and ebay is a good place to get the most out of a sale, if you let it sell at a fair market price and not and inflated "buy it now" price. What irks me is when show sellers ask "that is what they are selling for on ebay" prices. My answer to them is usually, "then put them on ebay!" For buyers, shows offer a great way to stock up on kits selling cheaper than current LHS prices. I know we should support our LHS', but when you can buy three kits for the price of one, all is fair. As for ebay, it is a great way to find some pretty rare stuff, but, be ready to pay for it if it comes down to that. You mileage may vary!
  22. Should have specified that the first one is on my work computer, this is on my home computer!
  23. I have those in both 1/16th and 1/25th. I got mine before Woopiekat made them. They also had the corrected M/T Gran Am decals for the yellow car and some Chi Town ones. I have no idea who made them before Woopiekat
  24. Nice car, but not original. I have seen time capsule cars and they did not have all the hokey doodads on them. You can call it a survivor but not all original.
