One of the all time greats! Nice!
-
I think this line of wheels is more intended for the Custom Car/ Lowrider Crowd. The Astro style wheels are really nice. I picked mine up at Pegasus!

If you have the MPC Blue Max, you have the Kalitta car. MPC did the same as Revell and used their tools for various cars. But, they are a step above the AMT 70's Funnies! I think they also did the Vel's Parnelli Jones Mustang, The Hot Rod Magazine car, Shirley Muldowney and another one I can not think of at the moment.

MPC Ohio George Montgomerys Mr Gasket aa/gasser, in clear ?

The 69 Malco Mustang was done with the clear body. I think they should be able to do it in 1/25. Or they can get Tamiya to do it for them! -
Polar Lights Tommy Grove Mustang F/C
Daddyfink replied to Tye Brown's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Nice to see the Polar Lights tooling being put to use! Wish they would tool a Nova body for those chassis. -
First off, sorry for your loss. The daughters of my friend who passed are putting his on ebay and starting them at reasonable starting prices and just letting the market decide the outcome. Some go for a decent price and some have really surprised us all! If possible, try to enlist the help of one of his model building friends to assist in listing the items. Good luck Jesse C.

Andy used to be my local Hobby Shop Owner! Until he decided to leave us for Arizona. Glad to see he is doing well and hopefully I will visit his shop someday soon! -

Sundance Express Street Van

I only have a Parts kit on the Truckin' USA van. It has almost everything untouched but it is missing the body. Just need to find a junker I can clean up for a donor kit. I have a sealed 78 MPC Dodge van also, but, that one is staying sealed. And only one of my vans is built, and this one was a Junker Rebuild. -
Sundance Express Street Van

I will start gathering the vans pretty soon, they are mostly in storage, and will take a pic of them all! Until then, here is a proof I found on ebay a few years ago that I could not resist adding to the collection! -

Nice! I love Vans! My Uncle had a Ford Econoline back in the 70's that had orange shag carpet, wood paneling, 8 Track and a couple of bean bags! This Revell Van has been a jack of all trades and has gone from Street Custom to 4X4 Adventure Van! I am lucky to have every version made of this van! I need to finish mine. I should round them all up and take a family pic of them! Once again, nice job! -

Clark Gable thought Injection was nice, but, he liked getting blown! -
I like it! This is a neat kit that requires some patience. I built mine with a flat head ford and different wheels. I should build one box stock.

Happy B Day! Take care Brah!

Ivo and Thompson knew how to market their names and teaming up with a model company was a natural course. Both had multiple cars done by Revell and AMT. The Summers Bros. only had one memorable car and it would have been a bear to make as a kit. Only a curbside would have done it and that was not too popular at a time when Revell was making very intricate, flimsy and ill fitting, kits. The resin marital aid by Jimmy Flintstone is not bad and with some sanding and painting, will make a nice shelf model.

1/16 Revell Hawaiian Dodge Charger Funny Car
Daddyfink replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Well, I know of someone who is working with Revell on new wheels and tires. Apparently Revell has to re-do the tires because they can no longer get them from their source. So we can at least look forwards to that! And new decals! As for Aurora stuff. Forget it! The Donovan mold was accidentally destroyed by Aurora during production and the other tooling is MIA. Unless they really want to dig for it. -

Round 2 wants to know what you want!
Daddyfink replied to Blown03SVT's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I am a drag builder, so anything drag is cool, but, yes, they need to make things that will appeal to a larger audience. That is why I would ask for a 71-73 Boat tail Buick Riviera. Lots of ways to build them and one that has never been done. As Mr.Smith pointed out, everybody wants their own thing. I just want something that will sell so they can keep making kits! But for selfish reasons, I ask for kits that have a broad appeal. Like a Cheetah race car! Not only never done, but this thing would sell world wide!
