  1. Looking very good! I'll be watching this one for sure! I had no idea what the DTU was until I saw your last picture, they usually call them lowboys around here I will try to get some pictures of the front brake setup on my trucknext week if you want them, not a peterbilt, but it's basically the same setup, although with 500,000+ miles, it might be hard to see anything through the dirt and grease!
  2. It won't be much different than the maintanence on a turbo diesal. Probably a bit cheaper for the oil, but fuel might cost more, I know my little dodge SRT-4 had to have premium, but the ford engine might not be cranked up as much as that little sucker! I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with your Chevy/Goverment Motors comment.
  3. Yeah, it seems like it would be easier to just make them in one place or the other... Whatever, I'm no business whiz.
  4. There's a Honda and Toyota plant to, Sixx. There are 3 manufacturing plants that make stuff for the foreign aiutomakers here in Greencastle. My Mazda 6 was made in flint, MI... In a Union shop to!
  5. The one you built that made you run out and buy several more or the one you still remember coming out so good As a kid? Mine was the revell 70 chevelle 3'n1. I was probably 12 or 13 when I built it the first time, and I was so impressed with how well it went together and how the stance was just right, as a lot of revell kits have the same problem then they do now, the sit WAY to high!
  6. The revell charger SRT-8, waaaay To toy like and it only looked like a charger in the front end, the opening doors were a joke, I've seen cars in junk yards that had better door figment than this model! The lindburg charger SRT-8. Just looked way off to me, as much as I tried to build it, I couldn't. It looks like a 4 door family with the huge wheel gaps and narrow tires. I really want an accurate SRT charger! Somebody please!!!
  7. I would Pay more if they came with correct tires. It seems most revell kit tires are way to narrow, with way to much sidewall! If they want to throw in a nice stance with it that would be awesome to!
  8. When I was building as a kid, mid to late eighties, I remember Walmart having a full aisle with models on both sides. You could also buy just about any of them for $8! Those were the good days, between Atari and Nintendo
  9. Hell yeah, a Simpsons fan! I like the .50 idea Myself, if you catch the edge of the cap just right, it will spin it right off... Catch it wrong and you better close your eyes!
  10. Got this one today, don't tell the wife:) I picked it up at the LHS, I've been wanting to try a couple of these race cars, I've been curious as to how they build.
  11. That's a LOT of paint! It must be nice to grab a kit and not have to go to the LHS to buy that certain color paint you need! The space looks good, I need to do some reorganizing myself.
  12. It would be great with the stance and with wheels that don't have the solid Chrome back like in some of their 2 'n 1 kits.
  13. The series of profanities coming out of my mouth if I were driving would have made satan blush! Then again if I were driving I would probably have burnt both tires off and lost my voice yelling "hey guys, watch this!"
  14. Baseball cards come with a Stick of gum, this kit comes with a Baggie
  15. I saw it listed on the tamiya site for around $600... I don't know what retail is going for, I haven't seen any for sale myself.
  16. Psychodellic man! I'm sorry, this is the first time I've even seen the kit, but after staring at the box for a minute it brought back this feeling from several years ago...
  17. I almost fell over when I saw that kit, then I did when I saw the price tag! Yours is looking beautiful, I love the carbon fiber!
  18. I built one a lot like this as a kid, I think it was called the beer wagon. It was pretty fun to build, but of course mine didn't turn out nearly as nice as the op's. Great job!
  19. Exactly. I haven't logged serious bench time for awhile, but work has been busy, the wife is working more, and it seems like there is always something else that needs fixed/painted/destroyed/hauled to the dump. I've recently gotten back into the building frame of mind, but it's still been hard to get good desk time! Need to send the wife and kid on a Vacation without me
