Hey Jeff I'm using p'bucket to. Which app do you use? I've got the snap bucket one and I don't see anything like what was described in the previous thread. -

Ive been looking for some side window scoops for the new mustangs with no luck. Does anybody know if these are out there or maybe some of the guys that cast parts on here would be interested in doing some?

Where did you build when you were a kid
eizzle replied to eizzle's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Sounds like some of you guys had some awesome build areas! I sure enjoyed sitting at the coffee table with mom and dad watching the news or the Walton's, heck, from time to time I put a waltons DVD in and go to town on a kit. Thanks for posting guys! -
Wow, i feel young reading this post... Born in 78 myself the posters that remarked about their time in Vietnam, I offer a heartfelt thank you for your service and sacrifice.

I started building around 8 years old, I pretty much built off and on until I got my drivers license, then models got put on the back burner. I picked it up again in my mid twenties. I got laid off at work and was sitting around bored, my wife (girlfriend then) suggested that I should go get a model and work on that. I discovered the magazines and forums not long after that.

What's the story behind your user name/avatar?

That would seem about right knowing her. Oh well, if that's the worst thing she calls me, I'll be doing good. -

I got promoted to a delivery driver so I don't get to find cool stuff like that anymore, and worst part of all I don't get to break stuff... Kinda makes me sad, but it's a lot easier than picking up trash, that's some hard work! -

My wife started calling me her eizzle (is-ill) back when we were dating, beats the heck out of me what it means, probably big dumb model builder!?!? No avatar cause photobucket won't let me in and the forums won't upload photos from my iPhone. -

Where did you build when you were a kid
eizzle replied to eizzle's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Hey, I had one of the KW's when I was a kid to, I didn't finish mine either! A whole 4x8 area to build on?!?! That would be awesome! Even now, that would rule! -
My Mazda 6 is lowered to, nothing like high speed swerving to miss the manhole covers! It does make a person pay a lot more attention to the road. I had a 95 ranger dropped 4/6. It would smack that drop transmission crossmember on everything if your approach was off, got kinda old, I've got a F 150 4x4 for winter and the rough back roads now...

I guess I'm feeling a bit nostalgic tonight. I used the living room coffee table. My dad bought me the plastic Testors paint sheet that comes in the paint kits and a lot of tube glue and disposable exacto knives. Mom always let me leave my kit I was working on in the living room so I didn't have to move parts that were still drying. I guess one has to get a bit older to realize how supportive or parents were and we didn't even know it.

What exactly is the super snake anyway? Like the track pack?

Nothing better than a trash model! I work for a refuge company and the guys that run the routes are always finding cool stuff, a lot of models. I found a few when I used to be on a route, but usually they are glue bombs or smashed up. -

What Slows Down Your Builds?
eizzle replied to slusher's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Wife, kid, 2 dogs, a cat, work. I need to take a couple days off work during school, tie the cat to the dogs and tie the dogs to the trampoline and send the wife To work and I bet I would get 3 cars done! -
Looks good, I tried building one of these but didn't make it very far with the body issues, I don't know what it is, it just looks way off to me? I applaud you for a nice build of a (IMHO) a it that could have a much better starting point.

Looks good, I need to get started on mine, but I want to wait to see If any aftermarket stuff gets released for them (side window scoops, tires)
