  1. Thanks a lot Tim, now I'm going to be looking for reefers with offset DOT lights while I'm working
  2. Very sharp! I love a clean black paint job.
  3. Very nice. It's getting to the fun part. I always enjoyed the small details the most.
  4. I wouldn't function without coffee. I drink 2 cups a day, like Bill, it's 5-8 cups on the side of the pot. I have folgers for the weekdays and I've grown quite fond of dunkin donuts cinnamon spice for the weekends when I have more time to enjoy it. I think this is about the best thread of the day. This should be stickied.
  5. There are dangers from running a high octane fuel on an engine designed for 87 octane, you can burn valves because of the higher burn temps of high octane fuel.
  6. Everything I've heard pretty matches what moparmagic said, plus from what I've heard, you lose about 2-3 mpg running it. It is however, very high octane, which is why the performance guys will run it, to keep their engines from predetonating under boost.
  7. I have a brother in law that is a manager (in the grocery dept I think) in the Jackson, MI meijer. Where is Dewitt?
  8. This is what it looked like several years ago, shortly after I built it And today I wish there was a face palm emoticon...
  9. I bet that sucker is a handful in the rain... I'm sure it would only take a slightly competent officer to find something not legal on it. I got pulled over for having window tint on the bottom of my windshield, the officer explained to me anything on the hood like a scoop or a blower or anything on the lower windshield was illegal.
  10. You sir, SUCK! just kidding, but I hate traffic.
  11. I'm fixing my truck tomorrow, bring on the snow!
  12. I'm guessing a lap time would include a trip to the gaurs rail, or over the side of a very tall hill, she doesn't look like she would turn on a dime... Ya know, if you wanted to look into that car, I would say its not street legal at all, I thought one common law stated your exhaust had to exit behing the passenger area? That one sure doesn't.
  13. I am a delivery truck driver for a trash company, the largest independent refuge company in Indiana. I deliver dumpsters to businesses and people's homes. Not a bad job most days, unless it rains, and/or its cold, both of which it was today... I'm still cold I was a union carpenter before this for around 8 years before the economy really tanked, I did lots and lots of metal stud framing and hanging drywall. I really liked that job, but it's way to unstable to raise a family on. I've been driving a truck for almost two years, and I'm still not used to the unpredictable hours.
  14. I figured I should post this tonight cause I'm going to have to clean the desk tomorrow! Man it's a mess!!!
  15. Very nice work. The detail on the subframe and rear suspension look great!
  16. The rendezvous itself was a huge scam, my mom had one and it seemed like it spent more time broke than working like it should. Classic Goverment Motors.
  17. Sounds like he should have contacted MG, they should have supplied the leash, try googling MG self start restraint leash, that should get you the part number.
  18. I saw a B-17 fly over a job site I was working at once, pretty low to, under 100'. Those things a LOUD and BIG! Really awesome to see something like that flying the skies.
  19. Folks, for safety's sake, we are entering the rain/snow season, lets not forget to oil our windshield wiper blades, and if you drive a Vehicle with a Diesel engine, don't forget to change your spark plugs to prevent hard starting in the cold winter months!
  20. I've gotta pick up one of those plants! Hey, look at it this way, I've been building since I was a kid, with a few years off here and there, but we have all had paint jobs that don't work out the way we want them to, I've got a mustang body I've been soaking in alcohol and sanding on to get a 3 layer paint job off of it, it will turn out good, just don't let yourself get frustrated trying to make it perfect, it will work out, just be patient. Lets see some blue on that bad boy!
  21. Hey, when you were filling up at the gas station at 1/12 street you left YOUR CARBON FIBER FUEL DOOR OPEN
  22. It doesn't seem to be working all that well on model master lacquers, but it works great on urethane and acrylics.
  23. Very nice build! I want one of these kits, but its gonna be hard to sneak that one past the wife!
