  1. Mustangs? Yeah, I have a few...
  2. Thanks! Nice to get one done..
  3. Nice to see the B scheme - I like it!
  4. Finally got something off the bench! Swapped on a set of '99 Cobra wheels and tires, Ford Racing GT40 intake from the Speedwagon kit, mufflers and tail pipes from the '97 Cobra, added AC and scratch built a fender mount filter tube.
  5. That is just cool... nice work!
  6. #104 Aqua turned out to be a pretty good match for AMC engines. Cheap too, picked it up at Walgreen's for a buck.
  7. Heard Threshold the first time a couple years ago, and had no idea they have put out as many albums as they have. Had a couple different singers and other lineup changes, but a solid band for sure.
  8. My first car was a '76 Celica GT liftback. Sorta looked like a small Mustang, 20R four cylinder and a 5spd trans. Of course, being a teenager in the late 80s with no internet, I had no idea how much nicer/cleaner they look with the JDM bumpers and valances instead of the huge U.S. spec safety bumpers. Still a fun car though Not my car, but very close to what it looked like:
  9. Very nice!
  10. That is really nice! Didn't know there was a Scarab kit other than the Monogram MkIV slot/curbside kit.
  11. Tamiya TS-44 Brilliant Blue over white primer
  12. I actually stripped the wheels, painted them, and used foil on the rims.
  13. Take a look at the Thunderbird Super Coupe and Cougar XR7 kits. '89-97 were the same MN-12/FN-10 platform as the 93-98 Mark VIII
  14. The red one is pushing all the right buttons for me. Certainly not taking anything away from the other builds, all of them are spot on!
  15. If I can run the tape along the edge of the trim without cutting it, I will, but if I can't, I apply the tape, and carefully trim with a fresh blade. I used semi-gloss black, but with the low psi and just barely pulling the trigger black to avoid runs and bleeding under the tape, it came out a lot more flat than semi-gloss.
  16. I sprayed the trim on my '15 Mustang. After the clear was cured up a bit, I masked with Tamiya tape, and and sprayed Tamiya acrylic through the airbrush. I did the '06 Mustang the same way.
  17. I used the Ricambi detail set on mine to look like it did at Daytona as a Mecom car with Foyt behind the wheel. For paint, I had some leftover Ford Viking Blue, so I used it along with Tamiya pure white and called it a day.
  18. I ran into the same issue when I built mine. Hard to really nail down what is correct for the car, since it seemed to change from race to race, eventually to the specification it is in that article.

    Gulf McLaren

    I like it!
  20. Nope, just went to their site and ordered them http://firebird-designs.ecrater.com/p/18104388/1969-amc-s-c-rambler-125-scale#
  21. 1. That is nail polish/paint, Sinful Colors #104 Aqua. Very close to the 1:1 color, and cheap! 2. No, those are the kit parts, but I drilled holes and added pins to connect them to the exhaust manifolds, and did the same to the chrome tips.
  22. I think if you cut the rear portion of the inner fender off, leaving the "floor" with the muffler and the side braces intact, then it should fit in the car like the EM kit.
