  1. Those big coupes are cool - nice work, as usual!
  2. Hardly ever see these kits built. Too bad, I had fun with mine, and they look nice on the shelf.
  3. That would be fun to drive in 1:1!
  4. I got the letter for the steering wheel airbag inflator (15S21) in July last year stating the issue and that parts were not available. Fast forward to May of this year, and I get the letter stating parts are available, make appt with dealer for the repair. I got the second letter the same day I was going in for an oil change, so I was able to get mine done at the same time. Just got the third recall notice (16S26) concerning the passenger airbag inflator, with the same issue of parts not available. Also had a nifty picture: We'll just have to see how long it will take for the new parts to be available, but I don't expect it to be much sooner than the other one. It's not just Ford, most auto makers used Takata inflators, so I'm not surprised at how long it takes to produce the new parts. So my original plan of trying not to run into things is still in effect :-)
  5. I recently had my driver side claymore replaced, and just got the letter on the the passenger side claymore. I'll stick with the same plan as before... try not to hit things...lol
  6. I also have this kit in the stash. I'm really liking the color on this one!
  7. Love these cars - nice work!
  8. Do you plan to re-do the "Raptor" logo on the side?
  9. Were you at Rob's on 200? I was there last week, and they didn't have Tenax, but they did have Squadron Plastic Weld, which looks like the same stuff. Even the bottle looks the same, with a different label. I think I snagged the last bottle from the shelf, maybe they've ordered more.
  10. How about the DOHC inline six from the jag XKSS?
  11. Nice work, Matt!
  12. The body shell on the Ford GT is molded in two parts, and glued together by the factory with what appears to be a liquid solvent cement. Clever way to get the shape, but makes it difficult to repaint. It's glued in four spots, but can be separated without destroying it. The first two spots are behind the front wheel arches. I just wedged a chisel blade under them and twisted til they popped loose. The roof took a little more work since it was glued near the top of both A pillars. I took the chisel blade out of the handle, and slipped it through the back window opening, under the header. I used a small hammer to tap the blade into the glue joins, working it across the joins til they popped loose. Went back in and sanded the glue marks smooth. This kept all the structure intact, and it fits back together nice and tight so the glass fits correctly. And now it'll be much easier to paint and polish.
  13. Those are pretty cool!
  14. Nice! Looks like it just did 24 hours around the 'Ring
  15. I like these from Silver Horse Racing. They replace the glass, and are still functional
  16. Dat paint...very nice
  17. It's been a while since I've hunted model goodies on the web. Where can I find photo-etched hex pattern mesh besides Detail Master? Nothing against them, but the minimum order policy means I have to buy stuff I don't want in order to get the one item I do want. Thanks!

Simple kits can make nice models - this proves it!
  19. Most manufacturers have stated that E15 fuel will void warranties on cars not specifically designed for higher ethanol amounts than E10. I suppose you can try it, but don't be surprised if you get lower mileage and/or feel a loss in performance.
