I agree with you on that part of QC... there should not be those type of issues in a new release....and it's a hassle to keep returning a kit for bad chrome ,or partially filled parts, or overfilled parts, and dirt in the base coat under chrome parts. That's QC on the packaging line and should not be passed as a sellable product..! I was just referring to the inaccuracies and light detailing designs of model kits... IMO...I think they are doing a good job at putting out new release stuff...even if there are some mistakes. Model kit design has never been perfect ...and IMO it will never be perfect. I'm just thankful for what is offered in what really is a micro business..! And I like what Dave said.....

I don't think there is anything wrong with expecting better products... but like I said, I really do think they are trying to do better... Just seems you hear more complaining and not enough good input about the good stuff that is going on in this hobby..!

....I sure don't get why a lot of modelers only complain about model kits produced. Can't we just be thankful what they ARE doing...! I still say, nowhere do they advertise 100% accurate full detail kits! They are plastic models... born in roots of inaccuracy, fit problems, and poor detail. I really do believe the current production teams are really trying to get it better..! If You want 100% accurate full detail kits ...buy them as advertised! Or take what is out there and make it perfect with your own modeling skills...! I can't believe I still see modelers still complaining about long past subjects as Palmer etc.. CAN'T WE JUST BE THANKFUL FOR WHAT WE HAVE..? SCHEEESE...! If they advertise as 100% accurate...and then fall short, then we would have a reason to complain...!

.....When I think of Eleanor... she's the '71 modified Mustang with a '73 grill and custom paint work. From the original movie made in 1974 by HB Halickie. His wife sold rights to Disney... and in 2000 they made the movie with the modified '67 Fastback. The Lil Eleanor looks cool for a Mustang ll.... I'm not a fan of them ... but I think your idea is cool and ..yes crazy..
