  1. Fantastic looking replica!
  2. Beautiful job! Looks great.
  3. Great looking result from what I'm sure was a frustrating build.
  4. Looks great! Love the color and wheels.
  5. Thanks for all the great comments. Paint is Tamiya TS-16 yellow decanted and airbrushed, one coat of mop and glo. My next project is the Moebius Chrysler 300. I'm looking forward to tackling this car.
  6. OK, Needed some relief from my last headache build. I looked at all the kits around the house and picked this much maligned gasser that many of us built as a kid. I've had this one since Monogram reissued them with original art a few years ago. Most of the prebuild was done back then so it just needed paint and glue. I have to say it is simple, but everything fits and I like the completed look. Also, I had good luck with the airbrush again. Nothing fancy, but I did add a little color to highlight the interior. I also tried to duplicate a gold metalflake rim with turnsignal amber. Fixed that exhaust from the original 55 Chevy mold. Nothing fancy, just paint and I can't figure out why this thing keeps rotating. Tried to duplicate the box art by smoothing the turn indicators. Cut out the drivers window to see inside. Thanks for looking.
  7. Haven't seen this kit in years. Look forward to the results.
  8. My wife thinks the new Fiats are so cute. Then I showed her one of the originals and now she wants one of them too. Great looking model!
  9. Looks sharp and ready for action!. Great job.
  10. Great looking model. I just picked up one from Hobby Lobby yesterday and love the features of the kit.
  11. Looks great! That color is sharp.
  12. Lots of great detail. Good luck with the body.
  13. Nice color. I haven't seen this design for MM paint on the shelf. Is the color new?
  14. Real, with some photo work.
  15. Great looking car. Nice detail work.
  16. That car is perfect. Attention to detail is incredible.
  17. I can't wait for this to be on the shelves. I had the Baker kit as a kid, and made a complete mess of it. I don't care if it's clear or opaque. I just want the opportunity to do it right. My experiance with clear plastic parts is they are brittle and don't like to be flexed. From years of watching original kits on e-bay with broken clear body parts, the opaque plastic (wish it was white) is probably the best solution. At least the collectors of original kits will be able to sell at exorbitant prices. I like it when the reissues devalue the old kits especially when the old kits are damaged or missing pieces.
  18. I have this kit, just not ready too commit. I'll watch for ideas.
  19. Looks good, and I too think the hood should be body color.
  20. Oh wow, Oh wow, Oh wow. When I saw the first pic of the 1/12 engine I thought you were being funny. Then I looked back at your first post, "Big Motor" literally. I've got to see the end results. Like an MPC Zinger.
  21. I used a Model Master spray paint I had left over, and decanted it for my airbrush. Used it right out of the can. I don't remember the color, because it was empty after I filled the bottle and threw it away.
  22. Looks good so far. I built the Monogram version years ago. I have built several AMT cars and othe than the tires, have always liked the results.
  23. Is that the planned box art or are you really good at graphics? I hope it's the former. I like it.
  24. I built that kit too, but don't have it anymore. I think if the mold still existed it would have been released again. I'd buy one if they did though.
  25. That color is awesome. It really pops in the sun.
