thnx for the awsome comments ! very loose dryfit of one drum in chrome , cant push it in the tyre the chrome needs to harden still after drying i will give the drum a wash so there will be some depth in the ....hmm how do you call them ...uuhhmm thos ribbled things (lol) added the struts froim the axle to the chassis also altered them slightly so the fit against the chassis , had to because the axle was lowered , i even think this looks better then how you should fit it (read how revell made it ) flattened the side where it go's on the chassis so it sits against the rails gave the engine a base coat of black , now i can add color and chrome and dress it up the bench-seat , dorpanels and dash also got a base coat of black thinking about a mettallic paint for body and chassis , bright color , maybe green ?

thnx guys yes thats what the text said , only using that steering wheel for mock up , def will use a nice old style wheel , i only used this style steering wheel ounce (recently) the rest all go into the partsbox lol sick of those .. yes here is a link to the build thread , still not finished , its on hold (first time for me usually i do one model at ounce and finish it first) needs a trailer for hauling rods http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=65929 ....

thnx guys , and about the pulley , then i have fitted it upside down .. didnt think to check and did it because i could drill out the bigger pulley and slide it over the one i made on top on teh blower ... but i love to hear these things because since i came here and saw a lot of great stuff .. i'm really trying to step it up on function and accurate stuff (as much as possible , sometimes a bit od cheating is nessecery to get your idea's transfered to styrene) some progress took 2 aircleaners , most people here recognise them from the revell kits and drilled them open in the center and used them as base for brake drums .. > wip primered the engine then started the front suspension , in the future i want to make them more acurate , lowered the front axle so changed the shocks and replaced the center leaf spring the leafspring then did the first total dryfit with everything in place everything runs free radiator shell and radiator fit , steering rod clears , engine clears , drive train fits and clears

thnx !! made a inner firewall to close up the opening and because i made a new tunnel the old fitment didnt work anymore from the inside , the seems will not be there after real fitment everything is still loose checking the engine fitment want to add brakelines underneith and but some bondo on the seems and clean up the rough areas flattened the innder wall with the tunnel , wont be visiblke after fitment but i think i will do some bondo and sand it shifter inside dryfit of the steering colom and wheel , going to use a different steering wheel , this is just mock up made the steering colom go through the wall

thnx guys now that the flathead is pretty build , i can really dryfit and check dimensions started wotk on the undercarridge / chassis and used the axle supports of the kit , dechromed them cut them up in pieces and placed them like this , bit fantasy-ish never did this much chassis work , but i'm also still growing and inspired by loads of awsome build here i just keep getting more and more idea's next time i really want to buy styrene and get what i really need to really be able to build it even better so to hide the uglyness due to the angle styreen i closed the cross member behind the cab and made round openings for the axle supports then made a plate op styrene on the back side of the chassis , behind the axle cut up the gastank so the axle and springs would clear and kind of used that to finish it of looking decent dryfit and the stance , this is the final ridehight the creations all parked together

thats a good one yes hahahaha love that !! the chrome left on the pics is stuff that would not come of after de-chroming i had this before and i know that after primer you wont see it .. got the partsboxes out and started to look for usable parts to get the engine blown started with .... then added the red plate ... and the top pulley is actually one that was part of the system that belngs to this engine i cut away the rest and used that on top then took ablower belt and drilled a hole in the center of the top pulley wich then slided over the top one i already fitted then made a top plate and added a offenhauser dueal carb system , the valve covers on the engine are offenhauser as well , after paint i hope the offenhauser text is better visible back plate found these brass stacks , they where on a iron string , dont know what they where bended some copper line now i want to make the distributer

thnx both !!!! well today i started on the engine i will use a flathead v8 ......i'm going to supercharge it the flathead > i drilled out the sparkplug openings , weird enough they where not in line , i wanted to drill the circles , otherwise i would have to drill into the edges ,, just a kit flaw .. i think after everything is in its not that obvious the front of the engine is flattened so i can make new pulley's dryfit , i like the fact the body is still high and the rear axle shows fitted the inner wells this is the ride hight , i wanted to do something i didnt do before , i love chopped and channeled but this time i did more to the chassis and kept the body on the chassis tbh its lightly over the chassis but not much) rear wheels will sit wider i have to make something to get them further out just fits , the steering rod clears the radiator , the flathead hoses fit nciely against the radiator , i will make a nice thicker piece where they fit in now i'm starting the supercharger
