  1. painted the body and chassis tonight !! looks very classy imo , its copper brown metallic i scribed the panellines deeper and before painting i sanded the body and chassis for the last time with superfine paper . i took my time and folded the paper and really sanded the inside of the panellines and glad i did they came out great and very smooth , close up > the pics are not really showing the result good , its hard to get it photographed nicely in the artificial light chassis when it dryed the gloss seemd to become even higher > 2 examples where i went like whow , its real smooth also now i have no clue if it stays shiny and reflective since this is the first time i painted a model metallic (def. not the last time !!!) but if it doesnt its fine then i just clear coat it , witch i will do anyway i think to seal the paint and get a nice layer i can polish
  2. thats exactly what made me doubt it , it makes the roof look high .. its alreeady not chopped .. hmmm ....
  3. 1. Piker : One who trades securities on a small time, even amatuerish fashion. Brett is a filthy two lot piker. Thats why he runs with them ugly little chickenheads. online dictionary
  4. one of the plugs i made for the wood frame i used o make a rolled up canvas roof , all still very rough and .... need opinions weather to go trhough with it or not .. i'm in doubt i do like it but i also like it without .. if i continue this i will make 2 slots where i can make some leather straps in so it looks like the canvas is pulled tight .. also i will make the styrene look more like canvas with creeses and glue some paper cloth on last that creates a canvas look , sort of canvas texture and ofcourse some rails or like strips where the canvas can sit in / on so shout away >>> do or dont ?
  5. pffttt pure coolness !!!!!!
  6. you are my altime favorite modeller and i'm never like that (to say stuff like that) but between the rod your building .... and this thread ....whow whow whow amazing work , the detail you put in is awsome but you just have that toutch not only to get the details 100% perfect but also bring it to life in a way it just look absolutly real .. and that for me is the highest goal you can achieve building models so the popcorn is out again in this thread !!!!!!!
  7. looks good !!
  8. nice !
  9. amazing ..................just amazingly cool this just looks perfect and the contrast from the car on all the whites is just great
  10. like said in the build thread > awsomeness , just looks soo cool i love it

  12. awsome !! def. following this one !! and if i ever see a kit like this i will buy it imidiatly , the fenderless front gave me such cool idea's !!!!!!
  13. thnx !!!! well thinking yes , planning not so much , i never start out with a fixed plan and just build and see what i will end up with sometimes in the middle of a build i will search for reference .when i suddenly know what i want and then use reference
  14. thats one mean looking machine .. although hotrods are my absolute passion i'm also a big jap car fan ... so i'm watching
  15. whow thnx guys well tbh props to this forum because since i came here it really inspired me and made me think about adding more details.. and i really am > still learning , but seeing stuff here made me just more exited and wanting to push the envelope so again props to this awsome forum i just tried the plans i had for a outer edge but quicly saw it wasnt that nice ... so i wanted to try and make something of this frame if it failed make a new one .. first tried to make something that resembles a pen and hole connection (dont know how you call that) drilled small holes and put a wood meet stick with the pint in (glued) and flattened it the whole frame is still rough and needs a lot of sanding , also will ad a black wash so that go's in the wood grain and then sand it again so the top is lighter and that way there will be some depth in the wood instead of one pain color drileld some holes in teh center as a line just to make the thing look more interesting , imo it really makes it lighter visually also the frame is slightly sunken that also creates depth in comparison to fluch with the outer edge now i got a new idea and i want to try and make some rails on the side and make a rolled up canvas roof , like real canvas rolled to the back , maybe some straps on it .. but tonight i have a birthday to go to and tomorrow we are celebrating my wife;s birth day so no painting for me this weekend
  16. started on the roof frame > made a plug that fit perfect , first made out of cartboard and then from styrene then made a outeredge from that , the inside line on this pic is still rough , not done out of loose srips of wood i covered the styrene plug edge and trimmed it so it looked like one piece while building it looked alright but then ... hmmm looks to massive and big , with the right wood weathering it can become less bulky but still rounded the edges a bit then i got the idea to turn it upside down and get the styrene edge on top .. what i can do now is make a nother edge like this that runs onto the body edge and work that on the body and make it one piece . then that obviously would get painted with the body then i can slide the wood panel in there on to the edge after paiting the inside would look like this then
  17. the amount of details and scratch stuff combined with the crazyness makes this build so much fun to watch > just loving it
  18. sooo realistic awsome
  19. sweet , looks great
  20. very very nice , so clean , looks great
  21. came out awsome !!!!!!!!!!! i think without the white door / trunk logos it would also be very cool but this also looks great the weathered look is just perfect ... love all the details especially like the thread of the rear tyres , usually i have thos revell ones that keep having a thick line in the middle of the thread when you sand it it doesnt get much better , smooth but still... cant waight to see the next build
