  1. just found some energy to make the lower part of the side moldings ... now the doorpanels are also broken .. i hope to save the upper molding and make that inside so behind the side molding it runs through like the real charger .. and aalso leave room where glass can go up and down , the revell kit does not have glass but weirdly the interiour panels sit flush against the door and side of the body .. weird .. maybe i'll even make the rear and side windows myself ... and the small door windows .. >>??
  2. thnx !! i did just make driprails and rough filed them in shape , again used the brass wire .. but i have the flue so for now i will crawl back under my blancket
  3. love the idea !! i would vote for keeping the stock fenders an sides as well and cut behind the door and put the round piece with back glass against that .. i think that would look sick .. but hey its your build and vision suprize us !!!!
  4. cool !!!
  5. no this hemi is going in .. it fits the theme and the car and i love it :), was the best engine i could think off atm ... also i build this engine specially for this car , used a block , the valve covers and some stuff i had in my partsboxes it will be more a oldskool gasser .. that will show later on in the details and all ... i do want to make something even wilder and pro mod style in the future .. but i looked up the kit you mentioned and it looks cool also i'm not one who really buys stuff especially for a project .. never do aftermarket parts or buy something especially for a part for a build .. look t it this way i never build with a set plan .. more a general idea .. this started as a bad glue bomb and i wanted to go apocatiptic vehicle with this .. that turned into apocaliptic gasser and now just normal gasser ... i can never say this i will build , try to use the weirdest stuff and my luck is i have a big stash of parts , wheels , tyres , few engines and mic. stuff and bodys .. thats also the way i like to build just take a kit . or partial kit and just build and see where i end up with thnx ! thnx !
  6. after a lot of filing i got the molding pretty flat ! ...looks way better , still needs finesanding
  7. 2 pics of last nights sanding the brass down .. needs way more i'm also aware the top tine now is a tad different then original ...sigh**** will try to restore it by sanding but if not i will keep it this way also going to make the driprails from brass
  8. because this ws a glue bomb and i had to cut out the glue infested windscreen .. i lost the moldings around the window opening .. used brass wire from a roll straighten-ed and sanded that bended it into shape ... and glued it on ... now its round and to thick but the great thing is its brass and pretty soft so by filing nd sanding i can make it real flat and file and sand a flat surface like the charger has .... so on these pics its just glued on i'm half way there with flatning the molding when thats done i will post pics oh and cool thing is the a pillars where so thing now with the molding the whole roof and a pillars got its strength back
  9. just enlarged the wheel well openings in the quarter panels , mde then a lot bogger but tried to keep the stock shape ..ish
  10. started on the rear dif , axle and leaf springs .. goal was just to set the ride hight and get the body sitting level , wheels centered on both sides , i used the kits leaf springs and the more beefy dif and axle from my partsbox .. i kept it low in the back , on the 2 pics below it looks like its too low but its not i'll get to that ... the tyres are wide and large so the wheel wells need to be made bigger ... here you can see the back is perfect hight wise , should not be bigger , just a case of enlarging the wheel wel openings so it doesnt looks so sagged seen from the side to center the wheels in the middle on both sides and releave the tention from the styrene leaf springs i glued and used steel pins , i will put more braces in and clean it up and do something to the mount points .. this will be a project on its own make a frame and hinge for the flip front , already got a good idea
  11. thnx bruce !! ps sorry for all the type errors ...i bought new rapoo keyboard , very small and thin and thought thats great more room on the bench and easy to put away when building .. but i have pretty big hands and grrrr doesnt really work ... when i want to type fast and post quick and read back i see all sorts of type errors lol
  12. yeah looks great !!
  13. nice ! and the name hahaha
  14. thnx bob ! did some clen up work to the body .. all is still rough work .... drilled some holes for the wipers the squares on the a pillars .. hmm rther not had to make them .. but since it was a glue bomb where the windshield letterly needed to be cut out . i had to for stability .. now i shaped them roughly .. better then just straight nafter light sanding with the parts dryfitted the wide slicks the engine with the wood stick i used for painting the engine .. now was usefull for a very rough set up to look what i'm working with .. need to make rear suspension , driveshaft etc
  15. very rough work > started on part of the interiour as well , some stuff needs to be pre installed before painting the chassis etc ...also because most of the interiour was ruined by the chargers previous owner (lol ..haha) the bottom plate of the interour cabnt be removed , to much glue used again by the previous owner found this cool diamond pattern rear panelling in my partsboxes .. there will be no rear seat and a full roll cage later on i could not save the dash all ruined ... i was able to save most of the top of the dash , great because thats whats sits in plain sight .. the rest will be scratch build maybe from aluminum with cool gauges etc .... here i mounted the top of the dash on the firewall with brackets , now it slides in and out with the whole chassis / interiour assembly .. it fits perfect with room for the windshield rer of the firewall was ugly i made brakets and filled gaps from behind , so i made a panel to cover that made a brace just for looks .. most wont be visible with the lower part of the dash ....
  16. started on the rear end and chassis ... when thats done i can move on with the hemi and all the connections cut out the tubs till i had the bare chassis left made new tubs in the rear .. tbh due to the shape op the body it took a while to get something that fit on the chassis and then closed the gap against the body .. weird shapes .. not as easy like making a round tub ...... very rough set up , rear ride hight is not set yet ..just resting on the tyre choose to use a different rear xle and dif. more beefy then the kit version , also the kit axle and leaf springs where to wide for these tyres .. will make cistom suspension and latteral bars last widened the rear rims ...
  17. looks stunning !!
  18. cooool !!!!!!!!!!
  19. LOOKING GREAT !
