  1. Okay. I made a mistake. I seem to be making a lot of them lately.
  2. This whole thing becomes more and more offensive. I’m very very offended by the above response. I’m not okay with be abused in the way I am here. I made a mistake. People are making it out to be a capital offense. Please stop.
  3. I know history of the horn. Your missing the point.
  4. That’s the point. It’s a mistake, or blooper in more ways than one.
  5. By the way, how does a “Monster Funny Car” even work? It’s neither fish nor fowl. “Super Dirt-Racing Funny Car”? Is there such a thing in real life? I’ve never heard of it. It makes no sense.
  6. Yea, but the model Roger was talking about was a GTX. Not a Roadrunner.
  7. I haven’t gone and watched yet, but thank you for the link.
  8. Thank you for your understanding Bill. I just found the way the cancellation was worded a little offensive. Especially when I see my name along with it.
  9. Whoa! I’m sorry, but I too find the above horribly ugly. No offense meant to anybody who likes it.
  10. The rusting one is what I need for my recently acquired AMT “Diamond In The Rough” kit. Any chance of making an easy link to that one?
  11. I remember seeing an article on the Flajole Forerunner in an old copy of a Mechinix Illustrated magazine from back when the car was new. I always thought it was kind of cool. I’m glad it still exists, and is in good shape.
  12. Now the title says “cancelled due to offending of rules”? Man, you guys know how to continue rubbing a guys face in it. How much more am I going to be punished for this? Forgiveness is is just not be found here I guess.
  13. I too got Palmer kits for Christmas. Mainly given to me by elderly female relatives who knew nothing about model cars, other than I like to build them. And you could get two Palmer kits for the price of one AMT or MPC. And what kid wouldn’t be more happy with two model car kits, vs one? Argh! They were well meaning old bats. And I built the kits, as ugly as those kits may be.
  14. I don’t how to make links to other postings here. But, if one goes to the next page here, you’ll find a thread here dealing with Atlantis reissuing Mongram’s old 1/32 scale funny cars.
  15. Another fun Tom Daniel model kit. A reasonably easy build. I left the body, other than the seats, unpainted. Painting everything else. The one thing I do not like on this kit are the decals, reading “Li’l Van” for the “C” pillars. So I left those off. All in all, I think it turned out fairly well.
  16. Last weekend I made my first visit to a Lego/brick store, Brickmania, in Northeast Minneapolis. They not only sell Lego bricks, but other brands as well. This is where I got my first exposure to the COBI brand of building bricks. Right away I saw these car kits by COBI, that actually looked somewhat like the cars they are suppose to represent when they are done. Plus they were much more reasonably priced than the Lego brand of building bricks vehicles and cars. Since I like odd cars, and one of the cars was a Citroen 2CV from the 1960’s, I had to buy it. Well I had so much fun building it, and I liked the end results, I ran back down to Brickmania today and picked up the other two Citroen 2CVs COBI makes. So here they. They are in 1/35th scale. And they represent a pretty good spread of the history of the Citroen 2CV. The Grey one is a first year of the 2CV. A 1949 2CV type A. The second one, the Blue one, is a 1962 2CV type AZ. The third, the Yellow and Black one, represents a 1980 2CV Charleston. They very are fun kits to build. They take about a half an hour to 45 minutes each to build. I like that they come with a brick/plaque you can set by each car, telling you what it is (the Fokker DR1 “Red Baron” I build last weekend, also comes with such a brick/plaque). In addition the same basic information is given on the front and back of each car, in the form of license plates and other badges. They make a couple Fiat 500 Abarths, both vintage and modern, I may have to pick up next. I like the COBI Citroen 2CVs that much.
  17. I had so much fun, and liked the end results, of building my COBI Citroen 2CV Type AZ I got last weekend. That I had to go back to Brickmania and pick up COBI’s other two Citroen 2CVs. A Type A, and a Charleston. I hope. I’m sure, they’ll be as fun to build as the first one.
  18. Holy smokes. That is something. Impressive.
