  1. Wow! Very nice. Great details.
  2. Again, thank for all of the nice comments, guys. I'm glad you guys like my take on this subject.
  3. Thanks for all of the nice comments, guys. I am very happy with how this build turned out. I'm glad you guys like it too.
  4. Just as I was surprised over the positive response I've seen on my posting of my '67 Falcon. I surprised over the lack of response to this. I thought a lot more people would interested in seeing it. And I was pretty proud over how both the car and the tiki hut turned out. Tom responded. But, only to tell us how much he liked these kits in general. With no comment on whether he liked mine or not? Is the kit that boring? Or did I do a bad job on it? Why has this one been ignored?
  5. First, I'm amazed by all of the interest this kit has generated here. Thank you for all the kind comments by the way. As far as chrome foil and black washing grilles. You'll rarely see that on any of my builds. I like my models clean and simple looking. Almost promo like. Sorry guys. I will do both. But again, rarely.
  6. Ray, do you have pictures of what comes in the above box? It's hard to believe it can be worst than what's on the box.
  7. The one thing I love more than models, are books. And I don't have enough shelves for all of those either.
  8. For Sisu trucks, yes.
  9. Very cool. It looks right on. I like it.
  10. Sorry ?. I don't like the interior either. It looks a bit kit carish to me.
  11. Not much to say. A silly kit. Sorry to say, but the glow in the dark parts, don't do a very good job of glowing in the dark. I'm a little bit disappointment with that. I was really looking forward to the teeth and eyes glowing. Especially with the eyes ?. But, no luck. That would have been so cool!
  12. Here we have a Revell 1/32 scale Mack "R" Conventional and Fruehauf Trailer, set up to haul Pure Oil's Firebird Racing Gas. When I was a kid, 9 times out 10, if my dad could, he'd put Pure Oil gas in our cars. So, Pure Oil is still my brand of choice in my modeling world.
  13. Another 1/32 scale Revell SnapTite Revell (ex-Monogram) truck in the Sisu fleet. Freightliner with Trailer.
  14. Here we go again! I'm only allowed to participate in this mental masturbation once a year. It is fun. But, it gets boring if it's done too much.
  15. I got quite a few Palmer kits as gifts when I was kid. I think their box art was aimed at older non car enthusiasts adults, who would see things like Thunderbirds doing wheelies, and think those were what us car crazy kids wanted. Plus, the Palmer sold for 98 cents. Rather than $2.00 for the good AMT or MPC kits. You can get two Palmer kits for the price of one AMT or MPC. What kid wouldn't be more happy getting two kits? Rather than just one? Talk to old model guys. I don't know of anybody who ever bought Palmer after owning just one. And yet a lot of guys had a few Palmers in their collections. I had several back in the day. Always given to me by someone caring person who knew nothing about cars or models. "Oh, little Scotty will like this. It has a car doing a wheelie on the box. All the kids are in to that now days. Scotty will love it." Wrong! But, one has to be polite and thankful. After all, they think enough of you buy you a gift they thought you would. That's my belief why Palmer bothered. They sold a few.
  16. Good old Palmer. If you think the box art is bad? Wait until you see what in the box!
  17. Yankos and Baldwin of Canada. Just with Dart Swingers, rather Chevys. Cool.
  18. I too like those old Monogram, now Revell 1/32 scale trucks. As yours Paul show, they build in to very nice looking trucks. Good job.
  19. Below are just three trucks in my fleet of Sisu Trucking. All are Monogram, now Revell, 1/32 scale SnapTite kits. There is the Ford AeroMax. A Kenworth T600A. And a Peterbilt 352 Cabover. All skill level 1, curbside kits. But, very nice looking kits despite their simplicity. I do have one problem with the Ford AeroMax and the Kenworth T600A. Unlike their sister, the Peterbilt 352, they do not fit back in their boxes when your through building them. At least the Peterbilt fits by laying it on its side in the box. The other two are too long. Most of my kits, when I'm done with them, go back in their boxes for storage. Certain models like these trucks, are a problem. I really don't have the space to display them. And yet I have no way to safely store them. Does anybody out there have any cheap, and serious, ideas of how I can resolve this problem?
  20. Here is the Baron and his famous Funfdecker Fokker. Despite being more of a car guy than and airplane one, this is my favorite of the Deal's Wheels kits.
  21. You are right about the paint. I love that particular color.
