  1. Thanks for posting this Bill. It was great! And I've never seen it before. '67 my favorite year for everything automotive.
  2. In your first post here above Harry, you mentioned ambulance chasers. And right above that mention, is the picture of a '59 Cadillac fin. Which I find ironic that back in the day a lot ambulances were based on Cadillacs with those exact fins! Overall I hate the new products that are designed to protect us from ourselves. Actually protect the stupid from themselves. I want my tail fins, lawn darts, etc. back. I don't need an airbags. I learned to buckle my seat belt back in the 60's. At the same time, I don't want anybody telling me I have wear a seat belt. I'm smart enough to figure this stuff out for myself. I know not to throw lawn darts straight up in the air or at other people. I know a hot stove will burn me. I'm tired of being treated like a idiot. Let the idiots out there get what they deserve. Don't take my fun or freedom away from me.
  3. I've yet to see one in any store around here. The magazine is published up in Thunderbay, Ontario, you'd think as close we are to them here in lower 48, we would have magazine all over the place. Darren can get them at stores in New Mexico? But, we can not in Minnesota? How does that work? I love the new version of the magazine. But, I've had to get my issues directly from the publisher in Canada. Thankfully I got a subscription.
  4. Trosley in it. But, by no means the only artist. At most he's doing only two or three pieces in the issues I've seen so far. He's there and still my favorite. But, there is plenty of others art in their besides his. By the way, no Krass and Bernie. They are replaced by a guy and gal called Deuce and Pnstripe. But, their stories are really not that all different from Krass and Bernie.
  5. That for sure is not a Mk III, the "true" street version of the GT 40 series. Wrong rear end for a Mk III. Also it's missing the scoops on the upper part of the rear deck to be a Mk II. And the MK IV is a totally different car. I'm guessing it's one of the many Mk Is that were used as road cars.
  6. Very good video. I like just about anything where Sterling Moss is being interviewed. One of the best and most interesting drivers of all time. And I love the Mercedes-Benz race cars of the 1930's and 50's. Thank you Art. Now off to YouTube to see the rest of the series.
  7. Looks like a Mk I to me.
  8. Do a web search for their web site. If I knew how to set up a link, I would.
  9. I too have never lost money using PayPal. I've had very good luck with their service over the years.
  10. Why thank you. And happy Easter back to you.
  11. Okay, remind me not to say anything about cute mail carriers or my love life again! Let's get back to the models. I find that much more interesting.
  12. If you search out other threads here, you'll find there are several people here who are having the same problem posting pictures here. So, just because somebody claims to have something, but does not post pictures, doesn't mean the claim isn't true.
  13. Okay, I need to amend my last post here. After writing it, I went to the CARtoon's web site to complain about not being able to buy or find issue #1. Well guess what? They are now offering issue #1 on their web site. And I was able to order it for a lot less than what I'd have to pay for it on eBay! So things are good. I'm completely happy with the CARtoons..
  14. Yea, you missed the memo Greg. As Russ noted, there was talk about this about a month ago. As soon as found out about it, I ordered a subscription and issue #0. The subscription starts with issue #2. Well since I purchased #0 and just got #2 this week, I'd like to add issue #1 to my collection. At the time of ordering issue #0 and my subscription, I requested from the publisher to buy #1 also. I was told I need to buy that issue from a local seller. Well I've spent several weeks trying to hunt down issue #1. I live in a fairly large city, Minneapolis, and yet I can not find anybody around here who carries it locally! In the last week, there are people selling issue #1 on eBay. And guess what's happening to the bidding on these! This irritates me. I'm a subscriber and I can not get a copy of #1? The publisher will not sell me one? I don't get it? As far as the magazine itself, the 2 issue I do have are pretty good. I like it! Now if I can just get my hands on issue #1.
  15. The link is interesting. Thanks John for sharing it. And thanks Gerry for sharing what you know. I'd love to learn more. And see one that has been built.
  16. It's being myself that scares then away!
  17. I love World War II warbirds and Korean War era jets. And the Spits are right near the top on the my favorites list.
  18. I have no way of posting pictures on this website anymore. So you'll just have take my word on it. This picture posting thing has been a problem here for awhile. And kind of angers me. So thanks for bringing that up.
  19. Had to put another bunch of money into my normally cheap to drive car. Paid up my balance on my credit card on Tuesday. Today I had to charge just under $800 to get a bunch of mainly small things and one big thing fixed on my old dependable Buick daily driver. That's just the way life goes I guess. Despite the car needing $2000 worth of work in the last 4 months, it's still a very good car worth keeping. It's never stranded me anywhere on the side of the road. In fact with the recent problems the car has had starting, I wasn't afraid to drive up to Duluth last weekend. I knew it would start. It just started hard. Now it's back to running just fine. And the problem I thought I was having with my rear drakes. Turned out to be worn rear shocks. The only problem there is that my Buick has auto leveling. So the shocks weren't cheap. Again, nothing really unusual for the age or mileage of the car. It just slows me down on buying more models that I want for right now. I guess I'll just have to wait a month or two on buying any more.
  20. Working as an educator, it would be I saying, "I'm sure glad it's Friday!"
  21. I like the first gas station in video above. Make mine a Pure Oil station instead.
  22. There is part of the problem. Can anyone keep a women happy it long run? And I'm not just talking about your "hint, hint." I don't know. I've never had much luck in that area. And for that reason I've stay a long term bachelor up until now.
  23. I look at my accounts via online almost everyday. Sometimes, several times a day. Wells Fargo has contacted me at least once to check on the use of my credit card. It was a small purchase, but an unusual purchase for me to put on my credit card rather than one of my debit cards. It was me making the purchase. Still I'm glad they checked.
  24. The one that stopped at my house today looked pretty nice. Didn't look to see if she wore a ring on her left hand or not. Plus, I don't have a (real, full-size) Corvette. And, I think I might be a little too old for her. But, if she can get past the lack of a Corvette, and my older age, I'm open to getting to know her better.
