  1. Could be a '75, '76, '77, or '78. Not a lot of changes over those 4 years looks wise. The body side molding, without read the nameplate, tell you it's a Grand Marquis. The plain Marquis, and Marquis Brougham had different side trim.
  2. Great looking Fireball 500 Bill. And I like your technique for getting the results you did. It's simple out of the box thinking (or in this case, in the box) that sometimes gives us the easiest and best results. I like your idea a lot and will trying using it on some project in the future.
  3. Got mine today. It took about a half hour to build. Despite it being a snap kit, I used glue to make sure it never comes apart. A very nice kit. It compares well in looks with my Fujimi GT 40 Mk I. And Revell (Fujimi) Mk II. It will be fun to compare and display it with my MPC Mk IV, and Polar Lights 2005 GT also. Ford and Revell have done a good keeping the Ford GT legend alive.
  4. Isn't nice, that that's all that bothers me? (If only that was true.) ?
  5. Another great looking model.
  6. Exactly my reasons for using cans over the airbrush. Plus since switching to lacquer paints (mainly Tamiya), I've been very happy with the results I've been getting.
  7. The mail carrier (A nice looking women, so I can't call her a mail man!) just arrived at my door, and left two models I've been waiting for. One is a very nice 1968 friction/promo Lincoln Continental 4-door sedan. It's in almost perfect shape. One very little nick in the chrome on the front bumper. Harder to see in real life, than in the photo on eBay. So I'm very pleased with that. It will look great displayed with my '68 Cadillac deVille convertible promo. And my '68 Imperial Crown 2-door hardtop promo. The second kit dropped off today is Revell's 2017 Ford GT SnapTite kit. Opening the box, things look good. Another kit I got a couple of days ago has nothing to do with cars, but I think is cool. Is I got Atlantis' repop of Revell's old Flash Gordon figure kit from the 1960's. I had this kit as a kid. I was out of regular model glue, so I used Elmer's white glue instead. Plus, I didn't paint the kit. I think I can do a little bit better on this now. The reissue looks exactly what I remembered from the original. Very nice. With little to no flash (other than Gordon himself). And it still comes with then little alien (very cool!). Plus retro box art. Which is what I'm good to try to duplicate in my build. I'm having a blast with the models I've been picking up lately. It's a good time to be in this hobby.
  8. Looks good. And I'm with Jurgen above, the color you chose is the right one for a 427 Cobra.
  9. Very cool. I didn't know anybody made a model of 1/24 Kublewagen. The only change I would make, is I'd replace your present air cleaner for a chromed German helmet.
  10. Won a '68 promo on eBay in the last few days, to go along with my '68 Cadillac deVille and '68 Imperial. It will not look as good as your kit. But, I'm happy none the less. Love those late 60's luxury cars.
  11. Interesting. Not my style, but I can appreciate it. Very nice job of building it.
  12. Lovely. Waiting for mine to come through the mail.
  13. Does anybody out there make a resin or other, 1/25 scale model of the 1954 Chevorlet show car, the fastback Corvette Corvair? Next to the Lincoln Futura and the Firebird III, one of my favorite show cars.
  14. I'm going to miss them. Talked with Carol on my last order a couple of weeks ago. I understand her wanting to retire. Hopefully, I can get one more order though them before they close down. They have been one of the best in the business. And as I said, I'm going to miss them.
  15. I'm guessing from what I'm reading here, and in other threads here, not to hold my breath waiting for this AMX show car to ever come out. The description of how they were going to do a high quality job on this, but couldn't find pictures of what the rear end looked like? Which took me less than a 5 minute search on the web. Raised flags for me. Thankfully, I'm not all that interested in subject. It's too bad for those who are. Reading the other threads on this guy (or guys?), it's a shame that there are scammers out there. 99% of the people I've dealt with with here have been pretty straight forward. But, as the old saying goes, "If it sounds too good to be true. It probably is." In the case of this resin project, it sounded too good to be true.
  16. Is that in the Paddy Wagon or the Jinx Express?
  17. Still by far my favorite paints. I just wish they were more easily available.
  18. ?? As seen on the box? For one is sitting in the front. The other hanging on to the rear.
  19. Oh! Yea, I misread. You said '34. Not '36. Bummer!
  20. Revell did a snap kit of a '36 Ford? Kool! What scale? And is it still available? Some snap kits can be very, very nice. 3 out of the 4 Snake45 has mentioned above I've built. And all three are very nice kits, with very good detail. I like them. I also several other new Revell snap kits, like their latest Mustang, though low in parts, make very nice looking kits then they're done. I also love AMT' old 1/43 and 1/32 scale snap kits. And I'm really looking forward to getting Revell's new 2017 Ford GT snap kit. I'm hoping that comes in today's mail, for that matter.
  21. Recently I picked up Monogram's Paddy Wagon. The latest reissue with the two pre painted figures. Officer Sean Fogerty and Patrick O'Reilly. Over all a very nice kit. A typical Tom Daniel kit. So I like it. There is one thing that is baffling me about this kit. And I can not find anything in the instruction that clear it up. Which figure is officer Fogerty? And which one officer O'Reilly? It may seem minor, but it's bothering me that I don't know. Also in other threads, the question of what engine is in this kit has come up. I think early ads and box art claimed it to be a modified "Cobra" engine. What Cobra engine it is I have no idea. But, I'm more wondering about another Tom Daniel's kit I recently pick up. The Jink Expresss. Can anybody out there, tell me what kind of engine that is suppose have?
