  2. How does this model compare to the old AMT version? Scott
  3. I'm wondering what happen to the above build. Was it ever finished? Scott
  4. Great photos for future use. I too have Revell's kit. Scott
  5. Why do people write in a script font that is hard to read? Scott
  6. Steve, show us and tell us more. Love Beaumonts. Scott
  7. The 1/8th scale MPC bike models I'd like to see come back, are the Schwinn 10-speed Continental and Schwinn 5-speed Sting Ray. Anybody remember those? Scott
  8. Saw one at our local model car club meeting on Wednesday. Had mixed feeling about the finish of the plastic. I doubt it will be much of a problem. Question the lower rear body side trim. It looks like it will disappear under a couple of coats of paint. Any others have thoughts on this? Scott
  9. Neighbor had a "real" Trail 70 back in the day. Always though it was cool. I'm going to have to pick up the kit. Scott
  10. So many cool car from the 40's and 50's that need to be offered plastic model kit form. I still find it interesting that die casts of a lot of these cars are, or have been offered. But no plastic kits. It can't be any more expensive to tool up a plastic kit vs. a die cast. Can it? I prefer my cars in plastic and in 1/25th scale. The thing most die casts are not. I bought a couple of Moebius' Hudsons. And there plenty more cars like them that I would be willing to buy and build. After all, once cool, always cool. And in some cases, some like Hudsons become cool again. Scott
  11. I want both a Tucker (make mine stock) and a '51 Studebaker Commander (first Stude with a V-8) Starlite coupe. Scott
  12. Pretty awesome. Scott
  13. I don't know why, but I found it a little offensive. I didn't find the brutal violence entertaining. Sorry guys. Scott
  14. Depends upon the car. Mounting varies on different vehicle. Scott
  15. What you said Christian not only made sense, but expresses my feelings exactly. I still like the look and feel of the old AMT and MPC annuals over the newly tooled versions of the same cars. I like the new stuff. I just like the metal axle and screw on chassis stuff better. And my AMT '66 Mercury Park Lane I built a few years ago looks great. Scott
  16. We're missing the '62 Galaxie also. Scott
  17. Hey we're just as nuts up here in Minnesota too! I like it. Looks like fun. Scott
  18. The Surfite kit with the Ed Roth figure has been out for over a month now. The figure is great. He's wearing a plain white t-shirt, and they give you six different decal designs to go on that shirt. I also like that the decal sheet also comes with decals for the front grille louvers and the taillights. Hopefully saving the hassle of painting those two details. Scott
  19. So is this coming for sure? And are Academy models any good? Scott
  20. Had a great weekend. The weather was great! Mid-June weather in early-May. Went to the local Buick club sponsored car show yesterday. Sponsored by the Buick club, but open to all makes. First big outdoor car show around here every spring. Great turn out. Saw some great cars and had a fun time. The swap meet was huge, but I found nothing I needed. Which was not necessarily a bad thing. Friday I went to my first Minnesota Twins game since they moved into their new open air stadium a couple of years ago. I'm not a big sports fan, but I enjoy going to see a game every once in while. Not the best game I've ever seen, but WOW! What a beautiful stadium! Baseball back outdoors where it belongs. A prefect night for a game. Just cool enough to require a light jacket. A nice very light breeze. Cool, but comfortable (more May than June here). A near full moon raising over downtown Minneapolis as the sun set. It was great! Scott
  21. Ditto Bob. You nailed it on the head on my building and purchasing trends. Scott
