  1. Nice Merc. The color works well on car.
  2. Love those early’70s Aussie Fords. Very nice.
  3. Another nice Buick. I love it.
  4. I love these old AMT kits. My folks had a real/full size ‘61 Comet they bought brand new when I was a kid. It was dark blue with same color interior as in your model. In fact, I’m impressed with how good of a job you did on the interior of you kit. From what I remember your kits interior looks exactly like our Comet’s. I love the T-Bird too. I love almost all Thunderbirds. And I love those 1/43 scale kits AMT issued back in the late 60’s.
  5. Stunning job. It looks beautiful.
  6. Two gorgeous Willys. Though I really like the green one a lot. The color works very well on that car.
  7. I love those big Buicks. I too have and built a very nice ‘64 Wildcat convertible. But, yours turned out much nicer, in my opinion.
  8. Wow! I love it.
  9. Two great looking ‘60s.
  10. Beautiful Riv. Nice job.
  11. Gorgeous! A very nice job.
  12. I don’t know which I like better. The car? Or the woman?
  13. Stunning! Beautiful! Good job.
  14. It’s a Burago die cast.
  15. A very nice job. I’m impressed.
  16. It’s looks great. I have the same promo, in the same color. That is I’m assuming yours is like mine, and is not original, but one issued back around the year 2000. Which would also explain the $10.00 price tag. Which is right for the re-pop promo from that time. They are not uncommon. And we’re offered in both blue and red.
  17. Beautiful! I really love the color. It looks great.
  18. Thank you Sam. Without your help, this car would not have turned out as nice as it did. I can’t thank you enough. A 1/24 scale 1955 Thunderbird? I know AMT made a 1/25 scale one back in 1955. And Monogram first brought out their 1/24 scale 1956 Thunderbird back in 1979. But, I’ve never seen or heard of a ‘55 in 1/24 scale. I’d love to know more about it. In the past I’ve build both AMT’s and Monogram’s 1956 T-Birds. I’m not a big fan of the ‘56 because of the Continental spare tire. Yet I’ve built them both none the less. My favorite 2-seat Bird is really the ‘57. I’ve built several of AMT’s classic 1/25 scale ‘57 Thunderbirds over the years. I also have their latest 1/16 scale release waiting to to be built. I’d love to find and build one of their ‘57 1/25 scale Craftsman kits someday. As for the original AMT 1/25 ‘55, I’ve never seen one for sale. And I’m sure as rare as it is, I could never afford one.
  19. Thank you for your kind comments guys. It’s really appreciated.
  20. The subscription card for Model Cars magazine that came with the Jungle Jim Camaro, got me to finally subscribe to the magazine. Smart move to add that into the box.
  21. With the help of getting a few missing parts from other builder here, Sam I Am, and time. I was finally able to finish my AMT 1/16 scale 1955 Thunderbird. Over all, I think it turned out okay. I had troubles with the vinyl tubing they gave for spark plug wires and radiator hoses, so those did not make it on to the kit. The paint is Tamiya TS-41 Coral Blue. The cap looked close to Ford’s Thunderbird Blue offered on the real car that year. What came out of the can is not as close to my eye as I expected. Yet I like it. In fact I like it better than the real Ford color. A fun little addition is the second ‘55 Thunderbird I built at the same time. It’s Glencoe’s 1/72 scale kit (list as a 1958 T-Bird on the box). A crude, but cute little little bugger. The windshield is molded in the same plastic as rest of the kit. So I had to decide what color to paint that to make it work. Silver or black were my to thoughts on what might work. As you can see, I went black with a silver frame. I thought that looked best. Again, over all I’m pleased with results.
  22. Thank you gentlemen.
  23. Rude and crude. Yet I like it! I just got my Jungle Jim Camaro Funny Car in yesterday’s mail. Wow! In many ways not the best kit in the world. But a fun trip down nostalgia lane. I’ve already started working on it. And that brings up a couple of questions. First the engine(s). I do not remember the original kit coming with two engines. My gut instinct/memory somehow remembers that this kit originally only came with Ford engine? Can anybody confirm this? And if so, I may build it with the Ford motor, rather than the Chrysler Hemi. Second, does anybody know of what color of blue in Tamiya’s rattle cans would be close to the color the original funny car was painted in? Unlike the original kit, Atlantis’ version is molded in white. So I can not build it without paint, like I did with the one I built back in 1971. And since I only trust Tamiya spay paint, I’d like to stay with that option.
  24. I’ve had the above on preorder for several weeks now. I think we’ve said it will be out in June? The one I’m waiting for is the 1/32 scale ‘56 Buick. I believe they plan on bring that back?
  25. Always good to get your opinion Snake. And your right, it was a fairly easy build. It’s nice to build something that simple from time to time. This is one where paint makes a difference.
