  1. As nice as Revell's new '57 is, there is still a lot of good in AMT's Scott
  2. Another nice one Steve. Scott
  3. The Hudson Jet is a totally different car from the rest of Hudson line, and Moebuis' Hudson models. The Jet was a compact car Hudson wasted their money on, that they tried selling in 1953 and '54. It helped force their merger with Nash, and create American Motors. Like Kaiser, Hudson should have invested its money into building a new V8 engine. And redesigning their big cars. The Jet was a good car. But, not what the public was interested in at that time. Scott
  4. I have the Blueprinter version of the Sevice Trailer built. So I don't need one. But, I too would like to see it back on the market. It's still a pretty good kit. Scott
  5. It will be cool to see this done. I'll have to keep watching this one. Scott
  6. I maybe missing something in what you posted above Art. Reading what you you wrote, I get the impression that your claiming the Custom, Custom 300, and Fairlane to be the same basic car. Then the Fairlane 500 something else again. This is not 100% correct. The '57 Customs, Custom 300s and station wagons (and Rancheros) share many body parts and are all built on the same wheelbase of 116". The Fairlanes and Fairlane 500s shared bodies and were built on 118" wheelbase. Note, the 116" wheelbase cars are all sedans and wagons with conventional 50's style of window frames on the doors. The Fairlanes and Failane 500s were available as sedans (club coupes) and hardtops. The sedans/club coupes having thin bright metal door frames. All convertibles were part of the Fairlane 500 series. I was a little unclear on what you wrote Art. So I thought I'd clarify. Especially when it came to the "plain" Fairlanes in 1957. Scott
  7. Both kits look very nice. Scott
  8. Pontiac built two. I saw one at the Pontiac Nationals a couple of years ago. The Banshee was there too. Scott
  9. Wow! A Ventura II Sprint. One of my "Holy Grail" kits. Scott
  10. Looks cool, man. I can dig it. Scott
  11. Great looking model Bruno. Scott
  12. Interesting. And well done. Scott
  13. Just noticed. It looks like body is already painted in this kit. Is that true? And if so, in how good of a job? And is it possible to see more photos of this kit? Scott
  14. I'm thinking about getting to work on my Minnesota State Patrol collection. I have the kits. I've got proper decals made. Getting the correct paint is the only thing standing in my way. I have the Ditzler color code to get the paint put into spray cans. I just need to do it. Scott
  15. Congratulations. Scott
  16. Oh, an "LS" Chevy motor. That I understand. "Is" I didn't. Scott
  17. I love the Packard gasser. Very Kool! Scott
  18. Looks great. Love the color. One of those colors that works well only on certain cars. But, when it does. Wow! Scott
  19. Ole was a great fighter pilot back in the "Big" War. One day he was asked to go to a school and tell a bunch of sixth graders about his exploits as a flyer back in the war. He start by telling the kids about the time where he was in kind of a tight spot. How he was surrounded by the enemy fighters. He said, "I had one Fokker behind me. Another Fokker to the right. A third Fokker to the left. And two more Fokkers. One above and one below. I thought I was goner." At this point the teacher stopped him. She was noticing the confussed look on her students faces. She said to Ole, "I think you need to explain to the kids what a Fokker is." Ole says, "Oh! Well the first ting you need to know, is these Fokkers were flying Messerschmidts." Scott
  20. Why do lions not like playing cards in the jungle? Because we're are too many cheetahs Scott
  21. I suspect because of weight and size they were probably not very popular as real gassers. Doesn't mean it can't be done. As noted by Bill's photo above. Scott
  22. Okay, what is a "Is series engine"? Scott
  23. This is not the first time I've seen pictures of this car. But it's the first time I've seen good clear pictures of it restored back to its glory. I kind of like the car. It looks like something Batman would have driven in the early 60's. And I too would love to see somebody do a model of it. I'm afraid it's beyond my skills. I do plan on making my Monogram Predicta and MPC Fireball 500 into pseudo Batmobiles. But only by painting them black and adding red Bat logos to the doors. Scott
  24. The cartoon Jonny Quest. Scott
