  1. Mike to Charlie the bartender: "Pour me a stiff one, Charlie. I just had another fight with the little woman." Charlie: "Oh yeah? And how did this one end?" Mike: "She came to me on her hands and knees." Charlie: "Really? That's a switch. What did she say?" Mike: "She said, 'Come out from under that bed, you gutless wonder!"
  2. Why did Johnny bring a ladder with him to school? He wanted to go to "high" school!
  3. Boy the beauty of the 8-lug wheel is just not there in Moebius' kit wheel as of yet. The more I see them, the less I like them. And I've always liked the ones on other models and the real thing. Scott
  4. Here's an old Halloween joke for you. Why can the skeleton not cross the road? He's got no guts! Scott
  5. Other than the boot not being flush, how is it otherwise? Scott

    Maverick

Very nice and clean. I like it. Scott
  7. Congrats. It sounds like your having fun. That's a good thing. Scott
  8. Mr. Mesner I'm building my AMT '27 T stock. I might be able to send you the custom engine parts, if they will fit on the Fruit Wagon's stock engine. Scott
  9. '60 wheel? Maybe on a '60 Pontiac, but I'm pretty sure the 8-lug wheels didn't come out until '61. Like Buick 5-spokes on some Buicks, you'll find Pontiac 8-lugs on Pontiacs that didn't originally come with them. Scott
  10. Oh man, give me a break! "I'll have to use that the next time I drive to a Chamber of Commerce meeting." What!? That thing is terrible! Would it even be street legal? I don't see any headlights for one thing. That's carrying the idea a little too far. And I do remember the Jolly Roger street rod model. I never like that one either. But, it looked better than the above! Scott
  11. Your right Tom, the Camry is nothing more than an appliance. It's a better at doing its job than a Crosley. But, unlike the the Crosley, the Camry is not a car. A car has personality. Something most Japanesse cars do not have. Scott
  12. The '60 - '62 Chrysler dashboards is still one of the best. Any Thunderbird dashboard from 1955 - 1971. '58 - '82 Corvettes also. Studebaker Avantis and Hawks. But, my all time favorite dashboard is below. The Cord 810/812. Scott
  13. Harry, you said that you saw the Twenty Grand at local museum. Is that the Volo museum by any chance? Scott
  14. Ah, Harry. The famous Twenty Grand! Built for display at 1933 Chicago Worlds Fair. The body was designed by Gordon Buehrig (also designer of the Cord 810/812), built Rollston, and catalogued as a Allington sport sedan. But, it picked up the nickname Twenty Grand, for it's out ragus price of $20,000! Remember, this was a time when a new '33 Ford could be had for anywhere from $510 for a standard roadster, to $610 for a deluxe Fordor sedan. In the middle of the Great Depression! Scott
  15. Looking at photos on the internet of the real thing, I guess it's right. Maybe because the model is "jacked up" in the rear, it looks wrong? Scott
  16. Thanks for sharing photos of your models Alan. I'm curious, and this question is for anybody, is the body of '32 sedan delivery short compared to the real car? It may not be. But, it looks just a tad short to me. Scott
  17. Nice '51 Ford. Other than it needs wide whites that is. Scott
  18. A congregation needs to paint their their church. Since they didn't have lot of money, they only bought as much paint as they thought they could afford. At first everything is going along fine. But they start calculating that they're going to run out paint before the job is done. They figure if they thin the paint, they could just get it done. But, even after thinning it, they realize they're going to come up short. So, they thin the paint some more. Several more times, to get the job done, they thin the paint. But, finally it's done and looks pretty good. They all go home satisfied in a job well done. That night a bad storm comes through. The next morning the congregation gathers at the church to see if there was any damage. Well, the storm had washed half the paint away! The church looked awful. Disappointed, one parishioner looks up to the heavens and cries out, "Why lord, why? We worked so hard!" Out of the clouds comes this big booming voice, and it says, "Repaint, Repaint! And thin no more." Scott
  19. I got the cardboard box one. I'm cheap. And poor. So, cardboard for me. And I'm okay with that. Scott
  20. The more I look at the parts pack chassis, for my newly acquired parts pack T body, the more I decided I need to buy another AMT Double Dragster kit. So I just ordered one for of eBay. My first Double Dragster kit, I built the Fiat and Streamline dragster. I really want to build a version of the twin engine dragster. So, now owning the parts pack T gave me excuse to buy another one. Still need to figure out what to do with the parts pack chassis? Scott
  21. I like the Holden Ute in post #27. Scott
  22. Just ordered off eBay another AMT Double Dragster kit. Mainly for building a twin engine dragster. But, also for using the Fiat chassis with the parts pack T body. There is too much missing to the parts pack chassis to work well with the parts pack T body. So, since I've built the Fiat and the Streamline dragster from my first Double Dragster kit. I'll build a dual engine dragster and T body dragster with the one I just ordered. I've been looking for an excuse to buy another Double Dragster to build the twin engine version. So, the parts pack T body just gave a reason to do it. Scott
  23. I don't need to count them. All I need to do is go back and re-read the joke. The answer is there. So I guess I can be a monk! Scott
  24. I got the T body last night at the MCCM meeting. Now to dig out the part pack chassis a see how that's going to work. Scott
