  1. Since it came up, one of my "Guilty Pleasures" is just about any kit designed with the use of metal axles in mind. My big concern with any kit has been how does it look overall sitting on the shelf then it's finished? It's seems like the kits designed with metal axles in mind, were always a little less fussy, and easier to build. And 99% of the time the wheels were straight and stayed on the kit. I also like chassis that attach to the body via screws. Again, most things lined up and held in place. Scott
  2. Okay Mark's explanation I understood. And now I understand where MPC's '32 sedan delivery fits into this story. The main reason I'm interested in the sedan delivery is it's the only '32 body style I know of that has not been offered by AMT or Revell. Scott
  3. Amen. We've gone from temps in the 80s last weekend to possible snow tonight! NO!!!!!! I guess that's what I get for living in Minnesnowta. Scott
  4. I've always like the GMCs a little better than the Chevy. Even though I plan on buying the Blazer, I hope Round 2 will consider reissuing the Jimmy someday soon. Scott
  5. Very nice job on the build Al. But, boy the headlamps and rear bumper fit leave a lot to be desired. I'm disappointed. I have this kit in the soon to do pile. I wonder if there is anyway to fix those two problems? Scott
  6. I'd like to see some clearer pictures. As it sits now, other than the rear bumper, it looks okay. But, lighting and shadows are such, it's really though to tell. Scott
  7. My two are still Lincoln's Futura and GM's Firebird III. I also like the Alexander Brothers' Dodge Deora. Scott
  8. I'm more confused after reading the above comments. What are you talking about? What does this have to do with MPC Switchers? Scott
  9. Thank for info Dave. I do like the idea of doing the wheels in four pieces. It will make painting them to make them correctly easier. Scott
  10. Thank for posting more pictures, Art. Looks nice from every angle. Scott
  11. Beautiful. First Lambo in years that I like the looks of. Scott
  12. Yea I know, I got the '75 Caddy coupe. Still a late 60's Eldo will be cool too. And Billy Joe, JoHan did do the '59 Dodge too. I'm sure both of those cars come from old JoHan tooling. But, who's doing it? Moebius? Scott
  13. Never thought about it, because I've never had a problem with it. Scott
  14. Just got the recent reissue a couple of weeks ago. It's fun to see one built. Anymore pictures? Scott
  15. Art, I love Pontiac 8 lug wheels. As long as they look right I'll be happy. But, that was the big news? I'm a little disappointed. Three pieces make me wonder how hard they will be to put together. But, knowing Moebius I'm sure they'll be okay. Scott
  16. Say, look next to the 1/12 scale Mustang. Are those late 60's Cadillac Eldoraos? Scott
  17. That's no '59 Cadillac. That's a a '59 Dodge. That and the Turbine next to it caught my eye too. Old JoHans molds? I can only hope. The Ford pickups and the Pontiac have been commented on by me in other threads. I am excited. The new AMT 2015 announcements look great too. The Pirahna/UNCLE car. The construction Blazer. Red line tires pack. All high on my must have list. But, what is with Moebius and the '59 Dodge and Turbine car? Scott
  18. Looks good Art. I've been waiting to see this one finished. But, like Mike above, I'd like to see more pictures. Scott
  19. The 3 big ones for me have been mentioned. AMT's '63 Corvette. Just built another one in the last two months. The MPC '69 Camaro SS convertible. Bought one just a couple of month's ago. I like it better than the modern Revell tooling. And I'm not sure why? And AMT's '32 Fords. As much as I like Revell's '32 Fords, and they are by far better kits, I still love AMT's old '32s. I still like options/choices the AMT '32 Ford kits gave you. Stock or hot rod, all in one box. And they still look pretty good when they're done. Scott
  20. Okay, rereading this thread I'm a little confused about whether MPC's '32 Sedan Delivery was ever part of Swiches series or not? The information I can gleem from reading this thread, and looking at the instructions on another site for the Swichers Sedan/Phaeton is that it is not a kit that can be built into a true Sedan Delivery. Like the stand alone Sedan Delivery kit. Am I correct on this? Or am I missing something here? Also, I'd like to see some more pictures. Especially of MPC's true '32 Sedan Delivery kit, if anybody has any? Scott
  21. Love the art work from old sales brochures for box art on your two lower phantom kits, John. And those are two kits I'd buy in a heartbeat. If the '73 LeMans Sport as shown was offered as a kit, I'd hope it would include the parts to build it with the GTO option. Four cars I'd love to see would be all of GM's '73 A-body performance Colonnade coupes. The Buick Century GS, Chevrolet Malibu SS, Oldsmobile Cutllass S 4-4-2, and Pontiac LeMans Sport GTO. Scott
  22. Is that what the front end looks like on this kit? If that's the case, it's worst looking '32 Ford I've ever seen. And not worth looking for. Scott
  23. That's the one. Is it a Switches kit, or not? Either way, that's one I'd like to see reissued. Scott
  24. Nice job. I love Revell newer Willys kits. Scott
