  1. That's a really good review. The only thing I didn't get is what he painted on. After all, doesn't Alclad require a gloss black undercoat to correct results? What about the others? This was not clear to me. Scott
  2. I like the latest Revell Barracuda kit. But, I still found this funny. Scott
  3. Come on Dave, your from Minneapolis. None of that negative talk about summer being over. I'm not ready for cooler weather! I love Minnesota, but I hate the winters here. And do not mention that evil four left word. You know the one (S-N-O-W). That reminds my, if I go out at this time of the year to see if my snowblower runs okay, we'll have very little snow this winter. If I wait till the first snow fall, the snowblower will not run and we'll get tons of snow. I better check that snowblower in the next day or two! Scott
  4. James Bond and Star Trek movies (except Moonraker and Star Trek I, V, IX, and X) Any movie with Steve McQueen, Cary Grant, or Humphrey Bogart Vanishing Point (the original one) Grand Prix America Graffiti A Christmas Story Manchurian Candidate (again the original version) Anything made by Hitchcock or Orson Wells 50's Science Fiction Metropolis 2001: A Space Odyssey This can go on forever. I love movies. Scott
  5. He didn't say they came into the States. Ladas were sold in Canada though. Scott
  6. Kool! Scott
  7. I'm down for one if can be built as a Marathon, the none taxi version. Not a lot of difference between a Checker taxi model and a Checker Marathon. Slightly better trim, and taxi meter or roof light, are the main difference. And yes, I too think it would sell well. And it would be nice if Moebius did it. Scott P.S. Prefer the chrome bumper version, over the later battering ram bumper style.
  8. I don't understand it either? Scott
  9. Found some photos of mine. Scott
  10. David, you did a great job on that Shelby. Definety a case were you can not blame the builder for what's wrong with the model. Looks good (relatively speaking). Scott
  11. I'm with you on that Jesse. Scott
  12. As others before me have said, very nice. Scott
  13. Cool! The first one I've ever seen built. Scott
  14. By the way, Bill. Where do you you find all of this weird stuff? Including the others who post here! Scott
  15. Now that I've read it here, on the internet, I need a set for my Buick. No speeding tickets, plus I'll fit in with all the cool dudes out there. And they give me better gas mileage!? Why has nobody told me about this before? Scott
  16. Now that's funny! Scott
  17. That helps a lot, Steve. Thanks for posting good clear pictures of both the kit and instructions. Now I hope we can see built up ones too. Scott
  18. Good review on this kit Mark. Correct wide whitewall tires was one reason I've thought about buying another one. But, since they are not in the kit I'll pass and pickup another AMT tire set for the '53 I already have. Scott
  19. Great job on a tough model to build. Looks nice. Scott
  20. Any pictures? Scott
  21. I like just about anything car wise. I enjoy perfectly restored cars. And modified hot rods. I can have just as much fun at a classic car concours and a junk yard. There are degrees of things that I like better than others. But that sometimes changes from day to day. I love the looks, design, and spirt of the cars of the past. I admire the safety, reliability, convenience, and economy of today's automobiles. The oldest car (at least in spirt) I've driven is a replica curved dash Oldsmobile. The newest, a 2015 GMC Yukon XL (okay that's a truck, but you get my point). And I'm madly in love with them all. Is there something wrong with you? Because you like a Rat Rod, over other more nicely restored cars? I think not. They are all cool. Scott
  22. I built one of Shawn Carpenter's GMC also. Some of the best resin I ever worked with. Shame he's not doing any resins anymore. Scott
  23. This, the '65 Comet, and the Ford pickups are what I'm waiting for. Again thanks for the updates. Scott
  24. Thanks to Dave Metzner always for keeping us up to date on this stuff. Now you know why Moebius is one of the best. Scott
