  1. I'll still holding my breath, waiting for MPC's version. Any good news out there? I hope so. I'm starting to turn blue! Scott
  2. I hope your right about a '72. I've love the real car from the first time I saw it previewed in the magazines of the day. That open "fish mouth" grille just looked right to me. The fastback is my favorite body style for that year Torino. But, I like the whole Torino line. All body styles looked good to me for '72. Even the plain low line, non "fish mouth", Torinos. Plus Mercury's Montego line up looked great that year too. And the dashboard, especially with optional gauge package looked cool too. And lastly, that year's Ranchero looked great too. A good year for Ford's mid size, redesigned, line of cars. Scott
  3. OK, Corvairs I'd like to see done as 1/25 scale model kits. '65 or '66 Corsa hardtop and convertible. '65, '66, or '67 Monza 4-door hardtop. A Ramside pickup, Greenbiar, and Corvan. I don't care what year on those. A '62 Monza station wagon. And finally, a '62, '63, or '64 Monza Spyder convertible. Scott
  4. How about a Checker cab like those seen in Taxi and so many other TV shows? Naturally, I'd want one that could be built as a stock non taxi/Maraton version also. Scott
  5. Hey, I get hit by lightning!
  6. No! Do it right. The TV version in 1/25th scale. The old Aurora/Polar Lights kit is okay. But it needs to be done better like Round 2 did with the Batmobile. Scott
  7. I wonder how many mph the horse was doing to get that result? At least we can see that the driver survived (I'm assuming that's the driver). Scott
  8. The Mustang looks okay. The rest..... Augh.... There is short, and then too short. The Mustang kind of reminds of what AMC did with Javelin to make the AMX. Scott
  9. That is the video I was referring to. I thought it only 100 mph. I was wrong it was 120 mph. But that is the video. Looking at the results, with a modern Escort, I'm sorry to say but I have a hard believing the Plymouth was doing 150 mph. Scott
  10. That is very cool. I too would like know how you did that. Scott
  11. Wow! All of this over a place to buy models and other supplies. I don't care if it's run by Martians, if they don't try to convert me into one. I'd like to a Hobby Lobby someday. We don't have them in the Twin Cities yet. I saw in Duluth a couple of months ago. But, didn't have time to stop. Since I'm not a vampire, I don't have too many problems walking into stores with religious items, like crosses. I may not spend too much time in the religion isle though. Hate to take any chances. Scott
  12. Oh... Hobby Lobby. His Jesus comment. It's now making sense. I'm sometimes a little slow on these things. Plus we have no Hobby Lobbys in this area. So, I only know about them by what I've heard on the news. Scott
  13. Your not the only one who wants a Rabbit. I stated that a few postings back. I would prefer if it was a GTI. But, a regular 1st gen, US spec plain Rabbit is OK with me. Scott
  14. I don't understand why you titled this post, "Not Attacked"!? Do you get attacked if you get a good deal like you did? Scott
  15. By the way, I forgot. The 426 street Hemi was not offered from the factory until 1966. If I remember correctly? Wouldn't a '65 be equipped with the 426 wedge engine from the factory? Scott
  16. 150! And it hit a block wall before the tree? Been thinking more about this, and talked about it with another car buddy. Then looking at the photos from the salvage yard. I know you Mopar and Hemi guys would like to believe this happened at 150. But, the more and more I think of this story. It's just that, a story. If somebody told me that car hit a tree at 60 or 70 I'd buy that. But, at 150 even without the wall, that car should be a lot worst than that. Scott
  17. Hey...! You stole my exact same story! Almost. Left thumb on top of the knuckle. Cut it down to bone. I was 14. Didn't dare scream about. That would have pissed my mother off. I didn't want her to find out about it. Should have gotten stitches. But, fear of my mother kept that from happening. The kit? The new 1973 Plymouth Road Runner. You know what? I kind of proud of that old scar it now. Scott
  18. For some reason I can not down load the Hot Rod page with the story of this on it. 150 mph in a '65 Plymouth? First that's a little hard to believe. Not impossible. I just question that speed? If the picture of the smashed car above is any indication, I also have a hard time believing anyone walked away alive from that? This sounds like an urban myth. Even with pictures. And coming from Hot Rod. Within the last 24 hours I watched a 100 mph crash on uTube. It was set up by a show called 5th Gear (similar to Top Gear, but not Top Gear). They smashed a newer, modern Ford model into a wall at 100 mph. They had to use store mannequins rather than crash test dummies. For no one would lend them real crash test dummies, because they knew they'd be destroyed in a accident at that speed. And crash test dummies cost a lot of money. Seeing the results, with a modern car no less, make me doubt the story about the '65 Plymouth and 150 mph. Again, I suppose it's possible? But, not very likely. Scott
  19. I'm confused. Is that a model your showing? Or the box the model came in? No offense is meant by this. I just can't tell by the photo you posted what it is. Scott
  20. Trust me. They know! And the Men in Black confirmed it. Scott
  21. Thanks for posting the above picture. Makes me even more hopeful that it can be built as a stock Torino! And it's not some pre painted snap kit. Scott
