I guess it's like any technology. It can be used for good. Or for bad. I'm just hoping that people posting pictures of their models are using it for good. And not trying to deceive us in to believing their models are better than they really are. Scott

The posting on Photoshopping models and perverts hanging around hobby stores. More things we have to worry about? I expect people to be decent and honest. I believe most people are. Maybe I'm wrong, but I hope not. Scott

I too love the down sized Torino chassis Thunderbirds. Can't be too hard to make a '77 or '78 (forget '79, ugly grille and taillights) T-Bird from the same tooling as the Starsky and Hutch Torino. Scott

I kind of like the AMT/MPC '72 GTO. Mine isn't too bad. It's exactly what I expect from an early 70's MPC. I've never had an interest in the General Lee, so I can't say anything good or bad about that kit. Oh... One thing I really dislike about my '72 Goat kit is the exhaust system. It doesn't bother me the way it's molded to the rear axle, like other MPC kits of the day. The exhaust ends/outlets are wrong. They are not as shown on the box art model. Which is the correct setup for a '72 Goat. Was this kit changed in some way over the years, and we lost the correct exhaust system? Scott

For Harry to photoshop like he does for the magazine, that I understand and I'm okay with. But, on a site like this I want to see honest models. At the the same time, I do understand cropping and lightening up a dark photo. It's fixing things like chrome foil, wheels, paint flaws, color, etc, to me is dishonest. A magazine or a model box is one thing. A person showing off his/her work is another. Even with all of that, I'm so untech savvy, I don't know how to crop or lighten up a photo. The photos I've posted of my models here have been taken with the camera in my Ipad. I've taken much better pictures with my Kodak digital camera. But, I can't get this site to accept them. And I don't know why? Scott

OK, so the 265s of '55 and '56 are red. And the '57 283s are the start of the Chevy orange engines? I always thought Chevy orange came in '58 along with the 348? Not the first or the last time I'll be wrong about something. Scott

Not today, but Friday night I had a great time with friends from the local Buick club chapter at a near by old fashion drive-in restaurant. It was a nice quite get together. Old Buicks (and a few lesser brands), good basic unhealthy drive-in food, and great people who seemed to be enjoying each other's company. And I'm joking about the non Buicks being lesser brands. Most in the club, like me, enjoy see anything old on four wheels. In fact, somebody on a unrelated reason (they weren't there because of us) showed up with a very nice lightly modified '68 Barracuda. Had a lot of fun talking with him about his car. Also had somebody with a '65 Chevelle SS convertible join us. And somebody came in with a mid-50's Dodge truck. There were other old cars. And a lot of people stopping with newer modern cars. Weather in our part of town that night was perfect. But, it rained less than 10 miles away from us. We were blessed and all had a great time. Ah great... Another thing to worry about. I don't know anything about photoshop. The models I've posted are just what you see. The good, the bad, and the ugly. My models may not look as good as others. But, I and my models are honest representations of what we are. I'm one who tries to see the best in others. Sometimes I'm a little naive and don't pickup when others are being less than honest with me. I hope, maybe naively, that the pictures I've been seeing on this site are honest representations of what is really built. You can lie with photoshop, and I may never know. But, who are you really hurting in the long run by doing so? Scott

This subject is always a worry when your like me and work with kids for a living. I work as a substitute educational para. In that job, one has to be so careful about what one says and does. Especially if your put into a situation where there is not another adult around. It's a shame. There have been times with very young kids where I've had to help with snaps on pants after they've gone to bathroom. And if your well liked and the kids do feel safe with you, the younger ones love to give hugs. In some case even want to sit on your lap. These things are tough. I love kids. And they really tend to like me. But, being a middle age single man you have be so careful. Nothing angers me more than when people do violate kids in some manner. Especially educators. It gives the rest of us decent caring (especially male) educators a black eye. My biggest rule in my life and my job is to try and not harm anybody, in anyway. But, especially children. Do I make mistakes? Violate the norm sometime? Yes I do. But, I will never violate a child in way that will do permanent harm or get me in legal trouble. By the way, the first time I worked at a high school, a friend jokingly asked me if the girls there were hot? I said, " Yes, until they open up their mouths and you realize how immature they are." I do love the kids. But, not in a sexual way. Scott

Great job on the patina. But, you need to do something about the chrome. It's was too nice for a car that's weathered like that. Scott

Another great kit. And a great job you did on it, Peter. I need to hunt one of these DeSotos down one of these days. The 1960 DeSoto has always been my favorite DeSoto. Too bad they didn't offer that car in a convertible or a station wagon that year. Scott

All three have been or are available. AMT has the Opel GT out right now. They offered a specific Get Smart Sunbeam Tiger in the past. And several model manufactures make the Karmann Ghia. So your lucky Frank. Your wish has come true! Scott

My one thing to add. Actually two. The 350 was only available in the Camaro 350-SS early in 1967. The engine was introduced with the Camaro. And the LT-1 went beyond 1970 and '71. It was still the standard engine in '72 Camaro Z-28s, and optional in '72 Vettes. Scott

Notice, '55 through '57 Chevy small block are more red in color than they are later. '58 on they are more the Chevy orange we know and love. Scott

Ah... Barry Newman! A.K.A. Kowalski. And cheesy 70's low budget film music. Cheesy 70's screaming girl. Whats not like? And I'm not being sarcastic in saying that. I liked the seven minutes or so of this clip. No Vanishing Point. But, not too bad. Love the '69 Catalina cop cars. Beyond that, I want the Ford franchise in that town. Look at the number of new '72 Fords running around that town! Makes me a bit surprised the cops weren't driving Ford Customs or Custom 500s. Also fun, but cheesy is editing done in this movie. In the beach scene, check out the temporary self repairing right low beam headlight. Great feature, except it re breaks itself when it leaves the beach. But then again a left repaired itself to make up for it. I love it! Scott

Carlos, can you show us and tell us more about this Mexican market Mustang? I know there were a lot of similar, but different cars marketed only in Mexico. I'm always interested in learning more about these type of things. Scott
