  1. What Monte Carlo? Sorry, I couldn't resist. But, how about some more photos of both the car and the women? Scott
  2. I agree with Greg. Another one of my passions, civil, non-commercial aircraft. The old Monogram Cessna kit may have its problems. But, you sure can't tell by looking at your build. Scott
  3. I always like this kind of stuff. Especially when it's as nicely done as yours is here. Scott
  4. Not to steal your thread here. But, I thought others might like to see what the bike looks like built straight out of the box. No where as nice as yours. But, still I'm pleased. Scott
  5. Now that is just plain Kool. With a capital K. Any chance of some better and closer shots of model? Man, I like it! Scott
  6. Thanks for the info. I'll have to give it a try. Scott
  7. Did anybody ever do a kit of the Meyers Manx SR2? Scott
  8. OK. We've known for a while now that you can and like to build great looking Fords. Then you start showing us you can build great looking Chevys too. But now, you build great looking Buicks too? I'm always impress with your work. It's just really nice to see that you do more than just Fords. Scott
  9. Very nice. And thank you for sharing the basic details about paint, etc. it helps others to see what works. And what doesn't. Scott
  10. It's interesting. I'm rarely disappointed with most kits I buy. A kit a lot of people like to put down for example, is MPC's '67 GTO. Is it a great kit? No. Is it what I except when I buy a kit tooled up from that time period? Yes. Can it be built into a reasonable representation of the full size version? Yes it can. Again, I go back to the days of Palmer kits. It was awfully tough to build their kits to look like a decent representation of the real thing. Even the Pyro kits were not that bad. The Pyro (now Lindberg) Cord 812 is another good example. It's no where as nice as Monogram's Cord 812. Yet I remember building a decent looking car out of it back when I was a teen in the early 1970's. Maybe I have too low of standards? If the basic lines of the body are correct, I tend to like the model. Above and beyond that is icing on the cake. Scott
  11. I've always loved the big stuff. Buick Wildcat, Ford XL, Pontiac 2+2, Chrysler 300 (letter and non letter), Mercury S-55 and Marauder, Impala SS, etc. And the bigger Personal Luxury cars, Thunderbird, Riviera, Toronado, and big (pre '69) Grand Prix. I like comfort, convenience, and luxury with my muscle. May not win many drag races. But, nothing to be ashamed of either. Scott
  12. Ditto. Leno is still the best. Have not watched one Tonight Show since he left. Yet I've watch just about every Jay Leno's Garage episode. And will continue doing so as long as he keeps on doing them. Scott
  13. This is another one of those kits, especially the green version, that needs to be reissued. I believe the green version is the original release. I like those yellow flame decals, better than the red version's white stripes. Also where's it companion, the Rat Vega? Scott
  14. Too much. And not as much as I wish could. Scott
  15. What is this build based on? A converted die cast? A resin kit? What? Scott
  16. I hope your right Paul. I just want one that can be built stock. Preferably molded in white plastic, to make it easier for me to pick and paint the colors I like. Scott
  17. Why. Why do you guys expect the worst? Revell has made some mistakes, true. But, they've also done a lot of things right too. Give them a chance to prove themselves. Quit the fear mongering on this one. Scott
  18. As a side note. I have a 1/25 scale die cast 50's Jeep stake side truck with John Deere markings. In the back it came with a John Deere push mower and several other lawn care accessories. It was fairly common to find them for sale around here and on eBay about 10 to 15 years ago. Scott
  19. Thank you. I knew nothing about this vehicle before today. Scott
  20. Until you know more, stop speculating the worst. Scott
  21. Do we really know any true details on the Starsky and Hutch Torino yet? I've seen no photos. Heard no official details. Yet there are people worrying that Revell is going to issue their '70 Torino with a different set of decals. Who and how did this rumor start? We know nothing other than Revell has announced a kit of the Starsky and Hutch Torino. People need to quit jumping to conclusions until Revell shows and tells us more. This might be the must accurate kit in their entire history for all we know right now. Scott
  22. More photos of the car from the GM Heritage Center. Scott
  23. An added note. GM has a '63 Corvette in their collection with the cast aluminum wheels. This makes me think that any '63 Corvette model kit with the cast aluminum wheels is right. Scott
  24. Thanks for telling us more. Interesting kit. Being a Tamiya kit it can't be too bad in any way? Old Jags like the Mk 2, are still beautiful cars. Scott
