  1. Wow, wow, wow, that is one stunning build of a great car. You definitely done it justice and then some.
  2. Another great build Rich, what's next on the plate?
  3. Wicked, the colors are fantastic.
  4. It's a Pontiac, what' not to love? Beautiful build.
  5. Drool, Rich, that model kicks butt. Awesome job.
  6. Great name for her, she looks the part. Super job on my all time favorite year Chevelle. A home run all the way.
  7. Exceptional build.
  8. My favorite tri-five and this one is looking great.
  9. Super cool, I need to get this kit.
  10. Oooo man, Erik, that looks sweet. I like that a lot. Thank you all, I am truly humbled. I did forget to post a shot of the rear. I always liked the looks of the blacked out tail panel on the '66 Chevelle so that's what I wanted, lol.
  11. Again, a big thanks to all of you. Seeing your guys work kept me motor-vated, lol.
  12. Thank you all for the kind words. I really do appreciate it. I just wanted this to look at home amongst my diecast GTO collection. It's not perfect but I'm happy with it, lol. This is only my second complete build in over 20 years. Bob, the frames are from a '64 GTO photo-etch set from Model Car Garage.
  13. It is finished and posted Under Glass now. Thanks all for the encouragement.
  14. Although I do need to find an antenna for it.
  15. Hi Monty, I painted the car with Testors Model Master Honduras Maroon which is the same paint code as Pontiac's Marimba Red. I sanded, primed and applied 2 coats of color and 2 coats of Testors wet look clear, I then wet sanded it with 6000, 8000 & 12000 sanding cloth and hand rubbed it out with Turtle Wax polishing compound and finished it off with a good coat of Turtle Wax Ice. As for the foam air cleaner, it's from a GMP scrap diecast GTO as are several other parts, yes this is a kitbash between a kit and a diecast. That's also where I got the tires and rims.
  16. Oops, LOL. I've tried to get all the details down and there's one I missed and didn't give it a second glance. Chalk it up to inexperience. This is only my second build in the last 20 years. I'll have to pull that and fix it. Hopefully I can get it back out.
  17. Some final details and getting the front, hood and rear installed and it'll be ready for the Toledo show. It's been a long road but I'm happy with it. Sorry for the poor pics, I was hoping to have it finished today but daylight ran out before I could get outdoor shots. Hopefully I'll have it finished tomorrow or Monday.[ ]
  18. Great job Rich. I dig seeing your builds, plus it's a Pontiac so of course I love it, lol.

Super sweet build Fred. You nailed it.
  20. Wow, that's an eye popper for sure. Love the color and the build. This bad boy rocks.
  21. Rich, this is looking sweet. Can't wait to see this one finished.
  22. I'd gotten sidetracked with this one after fighting some issues with it. I had to put it up for awhile. I'm now getting back to it.
  23. Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words. Tom, I used Testors Model Master Honduras Maroon. It and Pontiac's Marimba Red are the same color code. Also cleared it with Testors wet look.
  24. Got it polished out and some trim painting done. The chrome on the tail panel wasn't too great so I stripped it and blacked it out. I like it. It gives it a little more sinister look.[ ]
  25. Thanks Curt, I'm hoping it'll be done by the Toledo show, lol.
