Thank you all for the kind words, I truly do appreciate it. You nailed it Matt on the conversion parts. I did however use the whole '64 GTO chassis since they shared the same platform, it fit like a glove.
Hi Bob, I've collected 1/24 DM, FM, GMP, among other brands of 1/24 diecast muscle cars for years. This was the only way to get me a stock, true 1/24 '66 Chevelle as it's my all time favorite year for Chevelles. Plus I liked the challenge LOL. Thanks for the kind words. Geno.
Looks great Jason, we are only human, therefore none of our models will ever be perfect. Just have fun building and enjoy the hobby. I try hard on my builds to do the best I can but as long as I'm happy that's all that matters.
You're welcome George and thanks for being a true gentleman. Bill, I sent payment via money order with my parts made out to George. It was as smooth a transaction as you could ask for.
Yes James, I stripped mine, cleaned up any defects I didn't like, steel wooled them with 0000, washed them in some Dawn, let 'em dry, boxed them up and sent them to George, he took care of the rest.
Mark, it cost me $20 for those 4 pieces and that was including shipping. Sent them out and got them back in about 2 weeks. Once you contact George he will give you a list on pricing, or at least he did for me. Exceptional to deal with too.
Simply amazing work. Absolutely beautiful. I'm gonna gather some more parts to send to him. If you are looking to have parts plated I highly recommend George. Now I can finish up my Chevelle and get back on my Cougar Sportsroof.
