Quite a mix there... looks like the mill and headers were sourced from the '68 mustang kit. Not sure of blower and cap. First garage sale of season good for me too. Lots of car/truck stuff for sale that I didn't need; sometimes when you don't see what you want... ask! ... convinced him he didn't need that box of old builds in his basement. Nice bonus to find there were 4 or 5 '64 annuals in the mix but bit my tongue and got the works quite reasonable.

Some detail pics for those maybe wanting more accurate engine compartment detail than that offered by the stock chassis plate or the '67 chassis. The trumpeter '64 falcon and the '66-'69 amt falcons offer more accurate looking shock towers Here's the contrast between the panels on the '65/'66 mustang and the '64/'65 falcon/comet... ... clearly showing how Ford sectioned the falcon height to achieve the new mustang styling.

... you may want to check out the '66-'69 amt falcons as well. They were actually tooled with the early shock towers. I believe missing link had a resin copy of that engine compartment on offer at one time. Hay Kevin! Got yer ears on ?

What Tim said Neither Ford parts nor the Walker catalogs show anything but singles on the light trucks.

There's one in their kits already, copied along with the engine from the amt 75-79 F-series kits. I believe the decal sheet has 4bbl markings for the air cleaner.

The '75/'76 390s- last two years of the FE- had an optional 4bbl. That's the engine amt chose to replicate in their F350s -and call a 460- and the moeb engine is a pretty much direct copy of that.

Your talent for detail applied to that project created a beauty, Mike Time for someone to supply an '85/'86 fascia... Change the time to 40yrs and this comment reflects what many thought of another fairly recent release with an original discussion thread ranging over 30 pages iirc. It was committed to steel with worse problems than this one

That era of F-series never had stock 4bbl carbs, special exhaust manifolds or front sway bars either Maybe they could throw in the duals from the '72 so the builder could adapt them to the FE engine.

Clean build, but unfortunately still toy-like in proportion and detail; the grill and cab roof contribute heavily toward making it a caricature of its subject. The coon-eyes were a '69 Ranger item. Wondered when that D60 would surface...
