Looks like the adults were in another part of the building again when the graphics for the D150 were being laid out... when's the last time you saw a Dodge half-ton with the 2.6 mca-jet mitsu in it? ?

Kinda looks like they were aiming for the 351M, with the squared off valve covers... but I'm not sure what planet they scrounged the carb and distributor from

There may well be something to that eventually, given the provocative wording used in Mr Boyd's unibody wip thread... -

Anyone know who cast the resin body? Pretty involved project to make the corrections on an existing longbox. -
With the 'new' '66 fastback having arrived, a close look at the chassis plate reveals only a minor modification; removal of the two round spacers cast into the topside under the interior. So, another look at the variations of this plate... The Mach 1/Autolite/Superstang/Iron Horse chassis is mostly identical on the bottom to the third plate from the right (countdown coupe from mid seventies) with axle holes like the annual plate (no leafus interruptus) and body support posts molded on top side. Pics of that one are posted earlier in thread.

1/25 AMT 1966 Mustang GT -- Original Annual & Modified Reissue
mk11 replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Absolutely. Here's Casey's pic of the original fastback chrome... and a combination pic of chrome from the funny car/street freak awb on the left, current fastback issue on right and sections from one of the many coupe reissues ('89 ertl) under it. Now, it do look like there were never any tips offered in the coupe kit chrome at all, right from the '65 annual through the revised full detail coupe brought to life in the early seventies. Therefore, since Round2 is utilizing the coupe chrome shot for this fastback reissue, our options are to source the nice drilled tips from the funny car or invent them.- 216 replies

Can't always trust google image labels; the last two are actually '60 Mercs. Here's a '59... Hopefully the other grills are a possibilty with this new tooling of the original '60.
