The Revell Alaskan Hauler was reissued about 4-5 years ago. Should still be pretty easy to find. It was an expensive kit at retail. About $60 if I remember right. The Canadian Hauler is the same kit as the Alaskan Hauler. Never had the AMT kit but it gets pricey. I think it shared parts with the W925 kit so it may be gone.

It's there. Except it's called false sense of security.

"NEW" MPC Dukes of Hazzard kit not what you expected
Thatswhatshesaid replied to Greg Myers's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
It's amazing how many people think that the modeling world begins and ends with the people on this board. Believe it or not there are others who build. If something gets released that isn't geared to 'serious modelers' it is dismissed as useless junk. So what if there already is a model of this kit? How many requests are there for an updated tool of a kit that already exists? There are young modelers out there. There is a market for it. They don't put these kits out there to raise funds for new tools for the 'serious modelers'. -
I've got everything I need. The only thing I'd be interested in would be the KW challenge mixer and that kit is gone. The DeElegant stuff is hard to find because all the orders never got filled. I've never seen one but I heard the quality was so so. The Revell Marmon is just a Peterbilt with a Marmon grill. The GMC Astro turbine would be nice to see again if the turbine tooling still exists.

They'll never completely get rid of piracy. They may get the mass production piracy scammers but what are they gonna do? Put everyone in jail who has burned a cd for a friend? It's like the recent celeb nude picture hack. Jennifer Lawrence's rep said anyone who posts or downloads the pics will be prosecuted. Really? You're gonna prosecute most of the internet ? A lot of people don't even download music with so many streaming services out there.

. It's the same thing in my neighborhood except it's the Kirby carpet people. They just don't understand the words 'I'm not interested'. I never answer the door for these people but with it being summer they catch me outside. It's annoying.

If anyone here follows baseball then you know about the Tommy John surgery epidemic. It's starts at little league with kids playing year round ball for multiple teams and blowing out their arms by the time the reach high school. A lot of the problem is the parents pushing their kid because every parent seems to think their kid is the next superstar. As far as the double standard it's not really a fair comparison. No one hires a coach to teach their kid how to build models and a parent can't be on the field during a sporting event. But there is nothing wrong with guiding a young builder IMO. As long as the child is doing most of/all the work. I think we've all seen the 'my dad built my working volcano science fair project' but I'm a D student' That's just cheating.

Driver Figures
Thatswhatshesaid replied to JordanFordF1's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Scale Equipment LTD used to have figures and depending on what kind of figure you want the Italeri truck accessories has truck driver figures that could be modified. -
358 hood conversion
Thatswhatshesaid replied to foosh's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
The 358 was originally cast by CFC. If I remember right it was a joint effort between Bill and Clint. I think Bill has a T800 conversion as well. He used to offer the high top sleeper in 1/25 scale as well. -
California Trucks
Thatswhatshesaid replied to Jim B's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You also see the single drive trucks with double 28ft flats for hauling hay or tomato tubs. Did you see any of the 57' trailers with the cabovers daycabs? Those are interesting. Especially with the 41 foot bridge laws. -
So if I record a song from the radio to cassette, you know, 80s style, is that stealing?

Exactly. Some people get so bent when the 'other mag' is mentioned.
