This could very well be true. Dale Jr. used a NASCAR video game back in the day to learn shift points at Pocono.

I don't get how they clearance the models company wide. Around here the Manx kits clearanced long ago. Not much of the stuff makes it past the 40% discount here. Only the junk seems to make it to the deep discounts.

NASCAR is THE sport to watch if you love watching guys go around in circles trying to save fuel. Its like watching the morning commute.

The problem with Fred is by the time his list is mailed out or the website is updated, its already gone. If he does happen to have something you want he sells it out from under you or can't find it. His prices are also not as cheap as they used to be. Just not worth it.

This is discussed all the time. Too many 'I remember when kits were $5' type of comments. Let it go. Everything is going up in price. Get used to it. The days of $5 kits being sold everywhere are gone. Hobby shops are drying up as we transition to an online world. Also, the hobby shops around here are notoriously high. Look around online and you can find deals. As referenced in post #2, oil also costs a lot more than it used to. It takes oil to make plastic, hence plastics kits cost more to produce.

Don't worry, the execs will still cash in a bonus at the end of the year.

Do you even know what you are talking about? Or are you just assuming that is how it goes down? Read some of the topics on this board and you will see that it is not easy and/or cheap to bring a kit to market.
