  1. Apparently a Walmart neighborhood market is also coming to the area. I just don't see how it is profitable to have stores 2-3 miles apart. I also find it ridiculous when you can stand in front of a Starbucks and see 2 others across the street. Corporate greed at its finest.
  2. Ummmmmm..........
  3. Another Costco and another Walmart are coming to my area. Yay!! They will go nicely with the ones a couple miles away.
  4. The issue with the box art was that it showed a picture of a 379.
  5. Is Sourkraut's even in business anymore other than the Ford kit? I thought everything sold out years ago.
  6. The Italeri reefer trailer is best used as a grain trailer if you chop the sides down a little bit. The Volvo was a dud when it was first issued. It will be interesting to see how it does this time around. Maybe the 670 will follow, it is more suitable for fleet trucks. Luckily I cleaned up on Volvos when nobody wanted them the first time around.
  7. [quote name="highway" post="1151864" timestamp=" I've never had one of the 378s, but I think that if Italeri would offer it with the sleeper from the 377A/E, it would look much better as a long hauler. I know there are quite a few companies (TMC is one in particular) that used the 378 with the sleeper like the 377 kit for their road trucks.
  8. Kenworth molds were modified into the T600. As for the mixer tools, apparently no one knows.
  9. P&P no longer has that stuff on the website. Not sure if he still offers it or not.
  10. [quote name="Lunajammer" post="1140885" timestamp= It's kind of telling though, that in Las Vegas, it was reported Kevin Harvick offered her some tips on working the track and she gained ten positions. Yes, she's still learning, but some of that knowledge would maybe be intuitive to a top ten driver. You have to wonder what her cars would do in the hands of others.
  11. Sure there are drivers who have never won a race and have way more starts. Dave Blaney was an example given earlier. But Dave Blaney isn't plastered all over the tv every Sunday and the announcers don't go on and on over Blaney. Danica is at best an average driver. She is always quick to track down another driver who she feels did her wrong. She did it in IRL and Nascar. As for modeling one of her cars, its real easy. Take a piece of tin foil, paint it green and wad it up.
  12. Were they afiliated at all with R&D Unique at all?
  13. JT, scalehobbyist.com has them. $13.69 a set. Shows them in stock but doesn't show an instock quantity. Better jump on them.
  14. My IROC reference wasn't meant as an exact analogy. If all the cars were painted the same going around the track, could you pick out each manufacturer? All things aside, the bottom line is NASCAR is just plain boring. Just my 2 cents.
  15. Excellent job!! Very created and well executed!!
  16. I know some guys have used these for truck builds. There are several different ones available. Which ones are usable for 1/24 and 1/25 truck builds? Also which of the weld beads work in 1/24 and 1/25 scale?
  17. Custom built dining room table with a deep center. Glass top with the diorama inside. Maybe your wife will go for that? Also keeps the dust off them.
  18. Just because a vehicle is a no. 1 seller in the US as a 1:1 doesn't mean that will automatically translate into sales success as a kit. If that was true there would be kits of Camrys, Accords and Kias aplenty.
  19. Thank you for seeing my point of view. Not trying to start a car/truck vs big rig builder war here, just trying to point out some facts. Italeri and their multi use Freightliner chassis is annoying, but workable. AMTs T600 is a Frankenstein of different decades but the Marmon grilled Pete is rediculous. Sometimes you just gotta laugh and say 'really!?!?'
  20. BINGO!! Someone gets it! Somewhere is the happy medium between piece count/detail and price.
