  1. If I need to strip a paint job, I give my stuff "the purple bath". You can get a gallon of Purple Power at Walmart or Kmart for about $3. Strips acrylic and lacquer paints (never use enamels myself) and won't eat the plastic.
  2. Delta tools makes one that's a model # CP200. I just bought it to have to air up bike tires/car tires etc. Comes with an accessory kit for inflating balls, tires, air matresses etc. Runs about $100 depending where you buy it. Also, if you have a Michael's craft store in your neighborhood, look in the Sunday paper for the 40 or sometimes 50% coupons. I got my Badger Whirlwind for $75 a couple years ago this way. It's auto on/off and set at 20 PSI Both of these compressors are oil-less, so maintainence is minimal.
  3. Got my first ever contest annual from MCM! EYE CANDY GALORE!!!! 8)
  4. Yeah! That thing looks full of attitude! Sweet ride. 8)
  5. OH Yeah!!!!!!!!!!! You nailed it!
  6. Thank you guys for the kind compliments.
  7. Looks great! Makes me happy I got my 32 kit yesterday!
  8. The model is fantastic. The display is truly amazing! Did you make it?
  9. Very clean build. Great work.
  10. Just recently completed this one. It's the first Mopar I've ever built. It's a fantastic kit (IMHO) with plenty of detail and good fit.
  11. GREAT STUFF GUYS!!! KEEP 'EM COMING! Jairus, nice touch with the lit cigar. 8)
  12. I've never used the model master product. I have used Testors acryl and Tamiya Acrylics. I prefer the flat and semi gloss black of the Testors over the Tamiya but that's personal preference. Everything else is pretty much strictly Tamiya.
  13. I really like the color and the graphite rims. The car really stands out!
  14. I think I may have another decal around. I'll give it another shot. I LEARNED SOMETHING TODAY! Thanks for the tip!
  15. Great looking build up. I've been very tempted to buy this kit, and seeing the one's on this forum is making my arm twist.
  16. Here's the mock up with the tribal flame ninja star decals I made. Ignore the CF hood decal. It's going. LOLOL I micro-sol'd the living :!: out of it and I can't get it to lay down at all. :? So it's getting "the purple bath" and painted black. LOL Thanks for following along.
  17. Excellent color scheme Brian! Smooth build!
  18. For me it was building my rust=bucket diorama. Specifically because I did not have to care at all about the finish of the truck, or anything like that, because I was essentially destroying it. LOL The other part of the build was that it took me to a realm of ultimate experimentation. I melted the tirea, and molded putty to get the flat look, I peeled at the seat with an exacto knife and stuffed bits of a Q-tip in it to simulate torn seats, I found out Pantene hairspray reacts great with acrylic paint to get the salted/white effect in the rust/paint, I also used rock salt to simulate the tempered glass that's shattered on the dash and glued some to clear parts sheet and stuck in the window frame. And finally used earth tone pastels to get the dusted and weathered look. How about the rest of you? Does anyone have a personal favorite or "the one" in the build ups that stands out above the rest for you?
  19.     NICE SHIRT!

    Perfect smooth finish. Love it!
  21. Great straight ahead and clean build. I haven't seen one in gold and it looks fantastic. 8)
  22. As I look at my stash, or collection to some, I've bought every model I own (about 70) for a specific reason, and plan to build them all. I don't consider myself a collecter for the reason I do plan on building what I have. How about you guys?
  23. This was my third build after returning to the hobby 3 years ago. I added a drop or two of blue to the silver just so that it'd be subtle enough to pick up the tone from the top.
  24. HOLY :!: :!: :!: :!: THAT THING MEANS BUSINESS!! Simple and completely full of attitude. Love it!!!
