  1. Fantastic build. Very clean.
  2. I just wrapped this one up. On the whole, the kit's an abomination. Bad fit on most everything. HOWEVER I'd be lying if I said I didn't have fun building it. I stumbled across the old Car Craft magazine which gave me the inspiration to build it. I free-handed the whole paint job with my airbrush and wired the magneto. Thank you for looking.
  3. That's pure comedy! The water and the ducks taking flight is great!
  4. It's a combination of things and experimentation. I first tried melting them down with the side of a soldering iron. That did not work, so I cut off about 1/2 the height of the tire with my knife, then heated the edge (which looked much more natural) and finally took some putty and evened it out. I then painted it flat black to match the tire and weathered it. It's actually quite simple. I hope this helps you.
  5. That looks like a keeper for sure. I'll be putting that on my waiting list!
  6. Very clean build and excllent decaling work.
  7. That thing looks tougher than a coffin nail. Very cool 'Maro.
  8. Fantastic restore! Excellent two-tone color selection as well.
  9. That's one of the best looking Judge's I've seen in a long time. Fantastic!
  10. You're a master of all kinds James! Great build.
  11. BRAVO! Great build and glad Easter was a hit! I've been trying here/there with my 4 year old (kid LOVES Tinker Toys) to do some snap kits. It'll be better when he's older.
  12. Absolutely superb! I love the overall look, and two-tone paint job. The white walls set it all off. Give yourself a pat on the back. 8)
  13. Here's my one and only thus far -

    89 Ford Baja

Very cool. I love off road truck racing. Nothing to be ashamed of there!
  15. Yup. Fred's a good cat and if you're patient (and very opportunistic) you can get some great buy's on Ebay
  16. Looks very much like a promotional dealer display. Much like the stuff we'd get from companies when I worked in the music instrument business. If you go to Revell's website, they have phone # you can call for customer service. Took me a bit of digging on the site, but here's the link - http://www.revell.com/Contact-Us.contact_us.0.html
  17. I love the General. Best one I've seen yet.
  18. Wow. Brothers in green! I do remember posting after I'd started mine. Yours actually conviced me to stick with the chrome wheels. 8)
  19. 4 days?????????? Fantastic build, great color, and you nailed the stance!
  20. My wife inspired me by telling me this would be a cool color for a car. I thought it fit the tuner genre very well. It's box-stock except for the home-made tribal ninja star graphics. I'm still learning with every build even after being back at it for 4 years....

    Tuners

I just posted my recently completed Civic if you care to look. As for tuners... I guess I think low ride, big rims, low-pro tires, a Folger's can exhaust, usually bright colors and graphics. If you wanted to get real creative you could use fishing line and paint it w/ clear blue, red, green or whatever color to simulate neon on the undercarriage. Just my thoughts on tuners. Hope it helps a bit.
  22. Great build and photo editing. 8)
  23. I'm sorry to see your build got ruined. I can't imagine the words that'd come out of my mouth if something like that happened to me.
  24. I think that Dawn replaced it with a new product that's a foaming soap. Looks to be similar product.
  25. I only use Tamiya acrylics through an airbrush. I don't use rattle cans. I guess with my use of Purple Power it'll strip a paint job in 20 minutes. We've each got our methods and remedies I guess.
