  1. This model should be featured in MCM Magazine. Quality work.
  2. Ah! so that's how Italeri is spelled. LOL English spell check didn't have a clue LOL. That would be an excellent choice as well.
  3. When I loose a model, After hours of searching & giving up a few days later looking for another build & open a box and Wa lah! There is the kit I had searched aimlessly for! At times while thinking of doing a kit bash I occasionally combine kits & Parts in the same box then forgetting where I put the blasted thing. One of these days I might learn.
  4. Very cool!
  5. Oh dang! That wasn't good on the old back you best be real easy on it from now on ! A buddy of mine missed the first step out of his cab it broke his tibia, fibula & his pelvic bone all from missing the first step. He has more screws in him then trailer house front porch. He recovered but its taken its toll. Trucking isn't as easy as most people think.
  6. LOL That was one mean old ornery goat! LOL and there wasn't a GTO in sight!
  7. It used to be a good living, not any more.
  8. Mercy you must have had some hard work in you early years.
  9. Looks like an old Wilson 45'. A Tempte 48' wouldn't be too hard if one started with the Italeria 48'Refer. ( the one with the Greatbend KS processer decals) Perfect for the corrugated sides panels and made it a 10.2 spread. Scratch build the bins. shouldn't be too hard except picking up the Italeria 48' modern refer off of ebay. That's my thoughts...
  10. With the new Fed Regs out I couldn't care if I ever get back on the super slab ever again. Take care of your self Highway lets let the young'ns take over.
  11. I am a fan of the Aesthetically abandoned automobile! One instance I was in a farmers wooded salvage area searching through his collection of vehicles and came across an old 60 Chevy impala wagon looked as if it were simply parked and forgotten about. The keys still in the ignition, As well as a HUGE hornets nest inside... & the farmers Billy goat & not to forget "Rover" the German short hair that had been lurking about in the weeds. When I disturbed the hornets The race was on! Me in the lead, a swarm of hornets close second, Billy the goat bucking for a close third and the leg polishing barking dog in in forth. The farmer got a kick out of it. Yes the dogs name was Rover. I did out run them all, barely. FYI, Never trust a Billy goat in a salvage yard .
  12. Your welcome my good Doctor! Glad to inspire from the expired!
  13. Truck'n is hard on the body that's for sure. Thank goodness for Air ride, but those darned old Hendrickson walk'n beams can beat the tar out of ya!
  14. Sorry to hear about your back issues. Lord knows, I have degenerative disease myself & it has interrupted my career along with my A-Fib issues. No company will touch me now. So hang in there my friend, We are all a root'n for ya you aint alone in that class brother! You are in good company hanging out here. Rode hard & put away wet they tell me...
  15. Yup, Been there & bought the "T" shirt. One "fellow" club member noticed a unique detail I did and decided to do the same to his contest model and advertised the fact he thought of it. & won a trophy for his work. sigh... I asked him nicely when he saw it before the contest " Please don't steal my thunder until after the up & coming show" He laughed as he walked away saying no chance of that I'm using it anyway. I have been told once or twice, "If someone copies your work or idea's you should be flattered."
  16. Now Did I spy a couple of Delahaye's in that video? Interesting.
  17. Those regeneration systems are a pain... I had one of those AC blowers with a mind of its own. On a 99 T-6. Its issue was the fan control switch. Burned them critters up at least once a month. The issue was fixed by selling the truck!
  18. Amazing how many Vettes are in the video. Yes I noticed the rust on one Vette & was dumb founded how fiber glass could rust.
  19. I liked the look of the "Root Beer". The flex in it was not oversize to ruin the effect . Lime Ice on the other hand, I thought it was some what close to Boyds lime pearl. Oversize flex gives that "bass boat" Gel coat finish...
  20. I ran across this video that should inspire your modeling pleasures. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdSMONep4BA
  21. My 03 T8 had a 60 series turned up with some mild mods done to the cam & injectors, 10 speed direct, 277 rears 24.5 tall rubber. It could break the drives loose while floating gears. Triple digit truck If one really needed the HP. I knick named it "Spooky". She still squeezed out 7.5 - 8 MPG!
  22. And why haven't we seen any progress pictures yet? Very cool Cant wait to see the results!
  23. Blast... Did I say Up?! My bad LOL I meant down. One of those days My clutch seems to be slipping a bit. My excuse: When your stuck @ home with an over energetic 12 year old grandson for the past 16 months, Your nerves go hay wire in a hurry. This Old road Dawg needs to get back out on the super slab and leave the baby sitting to the professionals. Either that or a truck load of Prozac. Aint nuth'n worse then down time, I always dreaded that. Keep the AC cranked when possible. & enjoy the seat covers when they pass by! Time to come up with a mobile modeling work shop idea for you.
  24. Highway keep the greasy side up. If ya ever make it dowm the I-35 corridor & stop by Wichita, Maybe a cuppa Joe could be in order? I lost my 14.5 year Gig a year ago & still haven't got back in the saddle. My heart bumped me out for a spell as well. I miss that old T-8 and those super 2's. With that condo you should have room for a work shop! Happy trails driver!
