I like Tamiya, 3M fine-line, and Line-o-tape, depending on what I'm doing. The 3M fine-line tape is somewhat flexible and is good for curved lines. The Line-o-tape is available in widths as small as 1/64"
I have a strip of semi-gloss latex paint that I peeled off a board (for some reason it didn't stick to the automotive primer I used) that would be perfect for replicating vinyl, it's really thin, and also has a bit of stretchiness to it.
My first guitar was a 1965 "grand concert" size Goya with a spruce top and mahogany body. I bought it brand-new at a tiny hole in the wall music store downtown Seattle in 1979 for $105. It was a wonderful guitar.
When I was a kid, if your TV quit working you could take out all the tubes and go down to the Rexall drugstore and use their tube-tester to find the bad one, then get a replacement tube out of the cabinet in the bottom of the tester.
My surf band was playing at a festival in a small town and they were playing that CD over the PA while we were setting up and the soundman edited out the line "she likes cocaine".
