After long last, I have completed this build. I probably started it at least 7 or 8 years ago. I'd check on it now and then, do 1 or 2 things to it, then back in the box. But I finally had the stamina to get it done. It is a resin kit mastered and made by Promolite (Tom Coolidge). I believe he sold the molds to another aftermarket company afterward, but I got this one from him. I was originally going to do a full detail build, but finally settled on this "curbside" build with the resin chassis. There's basically no underside detail, and what is there is not accurate as a Pontiac, but that's not important for this curbside. I added clear sheet plastic for all windows, bare metal foil where applicable and all the police accessories from my parts box. The Georgia State Patrol lettering is computer generated and the door emblem is Chimneyville. The decals were done way back when and were pretty tough to work with, but I finally got them to look the part. The whip antenna is scratch built from jewelry parts from Hobby Lobby. The fender light might be a bit big, I might change it to something smaller. Georgia State Patrol did use these Pontiacs, I have images of 1949 and 1950 models in this paint scheme. Thanks guys... Jeff, I've got plenty more to keep myself busy for my next life. Alberto, the bases are from one of the extra lightbars in a diecast Crown Vic, I believe the MotorMax version. I cut the ends off and just used them instead of the whole length of the base, then I sanded them down a bit to lower the height.

Yeah, I'm sort of on a roll...I've got a ton of unfinished projects on my "bench", so I dug them out and I'm going to get them all done before I start another one... In that vain, here is a simple box stock snapper that I had painted the body to test some paint a couple of years ago. Only took me a couple of days to finish it up. Well, the paint turned out so good that I needed to finally finish it. Again, box stock Lindberg 1/25 police car kit, paint is Tamiya gunmetal, decals by Chimneyville, lightbar by DP Hobbies.

Great job, you "capture" the details very nicely.

Thanks Wayne, I'm aware they went with new markings recently, sort of like they're old 80s markings. The ebay seller has the new set and a vintage set as well, he's based out of Henderson, so I guess he's got access to a lot of NHP cars.

Built pretty much box stock from the Lindberg Charger police kit. Tamiya dark blue metallic covers the body. Interior detailed with some aftermarket printed computer screens and details. Lightbar also detailed with printed LED inserts. Decals by ebay seller policecardecals. Nice kit, but the instructions seemed to be very confusing at times...parts were mislabeled or numbered incorrectly for some reason. Parts fit under the hood are a bit finicky, too.

In a class of its own...fantastic build, museum quality.

Just finished up the 1/24 scale 2010 Ford F-350 Super Duty pickup kit, built as a Delaware State Police Truck Enforcement Unit. They have at least one of these, but their's is an F-250SD with a bed cover, otherwise the same. I did have a few issues with the build, but nothing major, sort of on par with the other builds so far. I built this one pretty much box stock, except for adding a police radio/switch set up to the interior and the decals and light bar outside. I also "de-chromed" the front grill and both bumpers, as the DSP truck runs that way. I had one major screw up in building it...I messed up on side of the pick up bed and had to re-paint it. I didn't strip it, just sanded and re-shot some more blue on it. Well when I put the bed on, it was definitely a couple of shades darker than the cab...BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH metallic paint, the more you shoot it, the deeper the color gets. Its not so bad in the photos, but you can see it in person. I might buy a second kit and re-do the bed, as the next one will be a cab/chassis with a custom body. Anyway, here's some photos...
