  1. Looking for to seeing yours done. I just put the Modelhaus 57 D-500 sedan on my bench to start working on. Tremendous kit...
  2. What more is there to say? Jay knows how I feel about it already!!
  3. It the end that justifies the means...great job.
  4. Great job. And great to see some of your work again.
  5. Rich, very nice. Your efforts turned it into a looker.
  6. A very fine addition to the resin world. I'm sure it will do well in sales. I'll be sure to track one down, too.
  7. Tremendous workmanship, as said above, it looks real. Congratulations on a great project.
  8. Very nicely done. Very "Presidential"

  10. Great job on one of the nicer SSP schemes.
  11. I can hear Sammy Johns singing in the background...
  12. Thumbs up! Very nice
  13. Another winner in the line...my hope will be for a sedan next...or maybe just a resin conversion.
  14. Very nice 'driver'!!
  15. But of course... No 71 Satellites yet, the Matador would be pretty tough to convert from the NASCAR 2 door. I guess I've hijacked this thread enough...
  16. Dan, no...the Revell kit, its a drag racer called "Cop Out" It has a Mars roof rack with 2 beacons, 2 flashers and the center speaker. I used one on my Adam 12...
  17. I'm thinking GSL..."If I had designed it" class winner here...maybe even a higher class... Tremendous job...you should be proud.
  18. Dan...the siren can be had from the Duster Cop Out kit, or there is a resin guy doing it...I think he's on eBay from time to time. The Aerodynic on the NYSP Fury is an original Ken Gipson piece. His work was so fantastic, he is truly missed in this niche of ours. The NYPD Fury was built by a friend of mine, Dave Neuman of Chicago. The lights on it are actually scratch built. The domes are the tops from pen caps, modified accordingly. I am very lucky to have such a nice build in my collection.
  19. I'll be following along Dave. I just got the Modelhaus body a couple of months ago, with a similar project in mind. The body is very nice, and the conversion from an Impala to Biscayne should go smoothly. I'm leaning towards a Boston PD wagon, as they used quite a few Chevy wagons in the 60s.
  20. For the wheels you have many options of plain steel wheels. In 1976, the Mopar copcars began instituting the slotted wheels, which are represented well by the Revell 70 Roadrunner kit. The hubcaps are close, but need the vent holes to be totally accurate. A resin company called "Plaskit" out of Quebec sells the correct slotted wheels with correct caps. Not all the 77-78 Fury/Monaco copcars had the slotted wheels, but most did. I have photos of the cars with both style wheels. To convert the kit to a Fury, you can either use the Missing Link resin body for a 75-76 version, or use the front grill from a Yodel 77-78 Fury for the later years. Yodel grill on AMT bodies:
  21. Perfect color. Now, do you have about 3 sheets of BMF left for that boat???
  22. Very nicely done Dave, great tribute!
  23. Nice job so far making that simple lightbar look more realistic. But I'm used to that from you.
  24. Chuck...RA Unit is an LA term for rescue ambulance. Every major city has their own terminology, ranging from codes to simple words. In NYC, the most common term for an ambulance is "bus". "Get me a bus forthwith Central...this guy's checking out!"
