  1. Just finished up the 1/24 scale 2010 Ford F-350 Super Duty pickup kit, built as a Delaware State Police Truck Enforcement Unit. They have at least one of these, but their's is an F-250SD with a bed cover, otherwise the same. I did have a few issues with the build, but nothing major, sort of on par with the other builds so far. I built this one pretty much box stock, except for adding a police radio/switch set up to the interior and the decals and light bar outside. I also "de-chromed" the front grill and both bumpers, as the DSP truck runs that way. I had one major screw up in building it...I messed up on side of the pick up bed and had to re-paint it. I didn't strip it, just sanded and re-shot some more blue on it. Well when I put the bed on, it was definitely a couple of shades darker than the cab...BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH metallic paint, the more you shoot it, the deeper the color gets. Its not so bad in the photos, but you can see it in person. I might buy a second kit and re-do the bed, as the next one will be a cab/chassis with a custom body. Anyway, here's some photos...
  2. Very nicely done...it looked great at NNL East.
  3. Very nice job, love it. Where'd you get the decals. Bridgeport even lets the K-9s drive once in a while. My photos from a 2008 parade in Stamford...
  4. What everyone has said, and then some. I truly appreciate your sharing this spectacular replica with us.
  5. A valiant effort Dan, very nice. Your perseverance paid off.
  6. Looking for to seeing yours done. I just put the Modelhaus 57 D-500 sedan on my bench to start working on. Tremendous kit...
  7. What more is there to say? Jay knows how I feel about it already!!
  8. It the end that justifies the means...great job.
  9. Great job. And great to see some of your work again.
  10. Rich, very nice. Your efforts turned it into a looker.
  11. A very fine addition to the resin world. I'm sure it will do well in sales. I'll be sure to track one down, too.
  12. Tremendous workmanship, as said above, it looks real. Congratulations on a great project.
  13. Very nicely done. Very "Presidential"

  15. Great job on one of the nicer SSP schemes.
  16. I can hear Sammy Johns singing in the background...
  17. Thumbs up! Very nice
  18. Another winner in the line...my hope will be for a sedan next...or maybe just a resin conversion.
  19. Very nice 'driver'!!
  20. But of course... No 71 Satellites yet, the Matador would be pretty tough to convert from the NASCAR 2 door. I guess I've hijacked this thread enough...
  21. Dan, no...the Revell kit, its a drag racer called "Cop Out" It has a Mars roof rack with 2 beacons, 2 flashers and the center speaker. I used one on my Adam 12...
  22. I'm thinking GSL..."If I had designed it" class winner here...maybe even a higher class... Tremendous job...you should be proud.
  23. Dan...the siren can be had from the Duster Cop Out kit, or there is a resin guy doing it...I think he's on eBay from time to time. The Aerodynic on the NYSP Fury is an original Ken Gipson piece. His work was so fantastic, he is truly missed in this niche of ours. The NYPD Fury was built by a friend of mine, Dave Neuman of Chicago. The lights on it are actually scratch built. The domes are the tops from pen caps, modified accordingly. I am very lucky to have such a nice build in my collection.
  24. I'll be following along Dave. I just got the Modelhaus body a couple of months ago, with a similar project in mind. The body is very nice, and the conversion from an Impala to Biscayne should go smoothly. I'm leaning towards a Boston PD wagon, as they used quite a few Chevy wagons in the 60s.
