Here is a tribute car made to honor the late Paul Walker. It's a 72' Skyline drivin by him during Fast Five. It may not be the best known car but it's one I really liked as soon as I saw it. This was also made for the Fast and Furious tribute build over in the community builds section. Ride in Peace Paul Walker, this one's for you. Thanks for looking everyone!

Thanks Jacob! Here's the 72 Skyline from Fast Five, finished. More pic's in the under glass section, thanks for looking!

Started on the interior, got the wheels set and got the grille done, just need to do something for headlights. This back peice is covered with heat and air duct tape to replicate the sheet aluminum used for the movie cars. The grille is wire mesh, some of you might remember it from the '67 GTX I did for last years cannonball cbp. And Finally, a quick little mock up test with the rims. As long as nothing drastic happens I should have it done by the 30th. The Skyline will be finished either today or tomorrow so pics of that will be in a couple of days. Thanks for looking!

Thanks Carl! Sorry for no recent updates, I've been sick since Friday the 18th. Finaly got better and started working on it again. I need to get a move on, it's gotta be done by the end of the month. Thanks for looking, more to come, within the next few days hopefully. -
Update on the Skyline, got the interior and engine done. The body has been decaled and cleared now I'm working on smoothing it out, I know what you mean Ken and Kevin, black paint jobs take a lot of work to get right. I don't know how good mine will be, but I'll do my best. I hope to have the Skyline done by the end of the week, it's gonna be darn close on getting my Charger done in time, time really does fly when you're having fun. Edit, missed a couple of pics Couldn't find front rims so I modeled them and had Shapeways print them. Thanks for looking!

That's what made them all the more awesome. I hope Malcolm get's better and nothing else major happens. AC/DC is one of my favs too, if this does mark the end then fire the cannons, I salute them and everything they accomplished throughout they're amazing carrier.

I agree Jason, it's awesome stuff. Can't wait for the day when 3d printers become common household items. I know I'll put one to good use. -
WOW!! The paint is jaw dropping! The rust looks so real, the weathering is out of this world. Amazing job!

Dom's Charger Fast Five Build Update 5-01-13 Finished
TFchronos replied to TFchronos's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Thank you Ira, Jason and Stan. Another small but exciting update for me. It's also one of the biggest selling points of the build and that is the rims. Without knowing exactly what rims were used, I looked as best I could via Yahoo, Google, and Wiki search but wasn't able to find anything on the rims. So I just decided to model them out as best I could in 3D and had Shapeways print them along with a few other goodies that will be used later on in the year for another build. Viewport render of the front rim modeled in Blender 3D. Rear rim viewport Printed product, Strong & Flexible Plastic, Polished And the end result after some sanding and painting. Thanks for looking! -
Very nice model!

Second set of pictures, body re-painted and grille mock up. The grille is sitting a little off in the picture, it'll look right when it's permanently mounted. Thank you for looking! -
