Nice setup!! Are you running the old HPI X pattern tires? Those are the hot ticket but are extremely hard to find. Running brushless is insane in those!! For our class we actually had to stop running brushless motors because of epic traction rolls and a few guys even put their cars through the drywall overshooting the corners of the track hahahaah. We now run four hole silver can motors on 2 S lipo.

I too love the Tamiya M chassis. I own the M01, 2, and 3 chassis and used to race them on weekends for about 6 years. I also participated in the mini class for Tamiya championship series. Excellent handling cars when they aren't top heavy and easily tuneable.

This was a pretty nice kit with great fit and finish, downside.....very small parts and I found myself using tweezer's on some of the steps. It's been awhile since I've used this much BMF and I forgot how fun it is to use the stuff.

Many Thanks to everyone for the comments!!!

BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH!! Just realized that I didn't remove the press marks from the undersides of the running boards, oops. I guess In my rush to get it finished I had forgotten. This car sat for two weeks due to missing parts so after finally getting those last week I just wanted it done and over with to get to other builds.

Thank you!! I think I got lucky on the stance. As I was building it I wondered if it was going to be to high. It came out exactly how I wanted OOB.

Thank you sir!! As for fitment Hmmmmm, The inner rear fender skins leave a small gap along the tops, the front grill's alignment tabs don't line up with the radiator (I shaved them off), The dash sits to far down into the interior tub leaving a gap between the top of the dash and the windshield glass's bottom (I raised the dash to fix that), the mount for the steering column is nearly non existent, the motor mounts could have been better. I had to pretty much hope that the motor was mounted flush to the chassis because my view of the mounts was almost completely blocked. OH!!! And a really big problem was that shroud on top of the radiator, it sits to high. I had to file it down a good bit just to get the hood to sit flush with the top of the grill.

I don't usually do cars from this era, but something about the body lines made me want to build it. The color is Testors Lime Ice Lacquer backed with Testors Ultra gloss clear. The tires are from the AMT Firestone set, Detail Mater distributor set, heat stained headers, everything else is box stock. All chrome has been stripped and redone in Alclad.

Congrats on finishing this kit!! Very nice build, great detail. My daughter started on it and couldn't take the amount and size of the parts so she passed it onto me. I got as far as painting everything on the trees and then just quit. I've never really liked the look of the car and couldn't bring myself to complete it.

I did some google searching and found allot of irrelevant stuff, lol. I am looking for a set of wide white wall tires for a 34 Ford 5 window that I am building. Any suggestions? I don't want the tires with the press in white wall. I'd like the real deal that's painted on or screened. Edit: I somehow just found some by AMT, are there any others I am missing?

Thank you for the invite, I think I would like that. What exactly do these meets consist of and what is their purpose? I estimate that I would have a 1hr 20 minute commute. Also, I have a few questions on some of the builds in your Fotki album, spectacular builds by the way!!! Would you mind if I pm'd you with my questions?
