A lot of members have already seen it but here's my '71 Chevy Vega panel delivery. it has an ex sprint car 355 small block with dart iron eagle heads a snappy comp cam, a super victor intake with a holley 1050 dominator and a little 150 hit of nitrous. it has a TCI streetfighter TH350 and a narrowed currie 9 inch. 4.56 gears and little 26 by 10 BFG streetradials. On the motor shes making 602 to the rear wheels and about 750 on the bottle. in the back ground you can see my dads '70 ElCamino SS 396 and his '72 vega in the garage

I think rather than trying to scratch build a holley fuel pressure regulator I think ill try to scratch a magnafuel regulator which is a pretty simple design to build
-
not much of an update to show but its better than nothing. I cant afford to buy detail master metal fittings so I found some plastistruct hex rod and some real small evergreen rod. I drilled out the hex rod and put it together. I have no idea how im gonna scratch a fuel regulator but ill come up with something.

Bare Metail Foil - Which One?
Dragfreak replied to MILD's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I received and email this morning so ill send him the old stuff and see if he can send me the regular chrome foil. ill have to experiment with regular foil as well. Hi Jason, If you could please cut the foil into strips so it will fit into a first class envelope and return it to us, I will replace the foil. We just need the foil back,no instruction sheet or envelopes. The ultra bright foil is more difficult to work with. The alloy of the metal is different than the chrome. As for the adhesive problem, we suggest to you to clean the model with plain detergent (I recommend Palmolive green) to remove any residue and dry it. Clean hands are also necessary to remove any oils from them. When you return the foil, let me know if you want the chrome. We usually replace with like material. Our mailing address is: Bare-Metal Foil Co PO Box 82 Farmington MI 48332 Thank you for contacting me about the problem. Regards, Randy P. Mason -

I forgot I even drew this until I found it today, this was the original plan for the plumbing. Everything should be the same except that it wont have the air cleaner.

been a while since I updated the cuda on here, ill simplify it in a small paragraph. Clear problems so I decided to buy a new kit for a new body(old body will get stripped later on)then got it painted and cleared and finished, the chassis is finished; all it needs is the rear end painted and I need to find some shocks for it. wheel and tire change to some convo pros and got it lowered.

yepp 100% real rubber from my dads '72 vega drag car
-
heres the chassis all I need to do is get the rear end in and add some shocks. I just realized I need to touch up the front sub-frame and shorten one of the headers. also to add some realism I went out to my dads vega and rubbed some of the rubber off the underside of the chassis and put it in a container.then I used some white glue to glue the rubber on.I tried to get the smallest grains as possible but Its still a little big for scale. comments and criticism appreciated.

Bare Metail Foil - Which One?
Dragfreak replied to MILD's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Has anybody else been having nothing but problems with this stuff? with a brand new blade in my x-acto knife I go to cut a small piece and it wont cut though it just drags a big clump of the foil up and when I finally get a piece off and apply it to the body it wont stick to save its life. ive tried applying it on a cleared and uncleared body and I get the same results. I thought that I got a defective sheet and went to my hobby shop and asked for a refund, as I expected they wont take it back because I opened the package. I had no choice other than to buy a new sheet and when I get it home the same things happening. I'm 14, I don't have a job other than yard work for neighbors and chores around the house so im barely making enough to continue this hobby so blowing 16 bucks on junk unusable bare metal foil is a huge blow to my funds and I cant continue to build if I cant foil the models so im pretty angry mostly over the money part of it but is there anything I can do to make this stuff usable?
