  1. Some of the members here are just giving him info as he doesn't know a whole lot about 1:1 engines, they call it constructive criticism because it teaches the builder something he didn't know before. The point of a model is to build a scale replica of a certain vehicle and for it to be as accurate as possible, we're just trying to give him advice on how to make his models look better than it already does. Now lets just let it go and get back to enjoying Patrick's work.
  2. Your welcome Patrick, I would also recommend going on Google images and looking up the engine that you're building when you're looking to add those extra details to your model so you can be as accurate as possible and have a great looking finished product.
  3. this is a 427 like whats in your model and the small black wires heading down between the exhaust is the ignition wires that you were trying to replicate. The wires go from the distributer which is the small round thing on the back of the intake manifold to the heads. In this picture you can see where the spark plug wires go to the heads Hope this helps dragfreak
  4. Amazing attention to detail!
  5. I'm not 100% sure but they look like the goodyears that come in the AMT '57 Chevy pro street kit.
  6. floor boards look good, nice job!
  7. Thanks Derrick!! I was having trouble getting the tubes to bend in to make it look like a collector but I figured it out
  8. I recently bought a mitre box and I was eager to use it so I cut up some k&s aluminum tubing and played around with it so would this be accurate for the time period?
  9. Thanks to everybody for the feedback I appreciate it alot! Alan, I just realized too that the Accel decal is a little later in the years but I cant remove it as its sitting under 3 coats of clear so its just a lesson to do some research on whether some companies were around on the build. I got the motor painted and painting more parts so interior and built motor pics are coming soon. heres some outside shots where the paint really pops! comments, suggestions, criticism welcomed
  10. Beautiful work!! you have some incredible skills!!
  11. very cool!!
  12. Looks awesome Fred!!
  13. Well I still haven't made any progress on the Cuda as I'm feeling pretty burnt out from it so I'm building a K.S Pittman Willys that I posted over in the drag racing models.
  14. Thanks A.C I didn't see your comment until I got her painted and decals applied it does still havethe K.S decals but it should still turn out cool heres where im at with it right now, this isn't the stance I just painted the interior and its still drying so I stuck some rocks under there so you get the idea
  15. Are you planning a blower or turbo?
  16. love the paintwork and its a very unique build
  17. great job!! interior looks sweet too!
  18. Yeah, the Halibrands are going on a future project
  19. I had this kit laying around so I decided to start it as the cuda project and its problems are burning me out, I'm deciding to build it my way. Its gonna be Testors 1 coat lacquer Inca gold with the kit decals. I stole the Halibrands for another project so its going to have body colored steelies. Comments, criticism, suggestions welcomed
  20. Beautiful work Niko!! does the resin caster you got the frontrunners from have a website?
  21. Should be a great race!! Looks like a great start stance is sweet! and maybe gloss black or gunmetal would look good on there and one question, where did you find those deep convo pros? I've been looking for a set that are deeper than the revel nova has.
  22. made a parachute mount for it but it had to be a little different than the nova for it to work with the body so I don't know if it is still NHRA legal what do you think?
