Very impressive Coe, Brian - wheels and tires, exhaust shields and cab decoration - like it comes fresh from the factory ! -

Thanks, Brian - these are the only ones I have made, and in the meantime - due to 2 movings - the lengthened frame is broken in half. So I have to repair this rig anytime in the future... -

Thanks, David! -
Thanks guys and girls for your nice comments - someday I will be going to restore this one, maybe I will redo the body using a color that comes at least close to an original 1961 color, eventually the original wheels and tires will be used and I have to look for a more period-correct rearview mirror.

Don't know if I have already posted this one built in 1986: additonal tank and double sleeper parts came from a second kit, bumper is from Revell, license plates Italeri, and the Eagle is hand-painted (no such decals back then) - the orange color I had at hand is a bit too dark, the light brown/beige (eagle) is the color of the primer.

amt (?)1961 T-Bird (original) - got this one from a pen-pal in the U.S. in 1985 as a built-up, unpainted glue-bomb - disassembled, spraypainted and reassembled again - I will restore this one day using some parts of amt's 62 T-Bird (original wheels and tires are still there - I mounted wheels and tires from JoHan's `72 Gran Torino. I wouldn't use this banana yellow again today, but I don't want to remove the whole paint from the body. I think I will replace windshield and -frame with parts from amt's 62 T-Bird, also the missing chrome bezel from the hood scoop, maybe even the rear bumper (the orignal has a bad chrome - I touched this up with silver paint) and some bare-metal for the trim - flocking for the interior, install clear headlight lensespolishing the body and lighten up the panel lines on the doors and trunk that are definitely too dark. Wht would you guys do with it?

8 years ago, I won this diecast model among others from an Italian ebayer for cheap - it was heavily damaged (2 wheels broken off, windshield missing). This is how it looked when I got it: It was quite simplified and looked too much toy-like - but: the proportions looked good, and I saw some potential in this . I wanted to look it more realistic without investing too much time and any money. I painted some details like wheels and exhaust pipe, then added a windshield from Tamiya's Lotus Seven, wrapped some medical plaster around the exhaust as heat protection, some fine photoetched mesh for the grille, duct tape simulated the hood leather straps. I removed the stickers and added decals from Patto and finally some dirt, soot and grime. During the process I knocked off a 3rd wheel and lost the hand crank up front and 2 wheel center locks never to be found again - the center locks have been replaced from the parts box, the crank is still missing.... Anyway, it came out like this - it was a quick easy project which made real fun - this is what it looks like now: the winner of the 1925 Italian GP (Monza) which brought Alfa Romeo the very first world championship; it cost me about $ 15,00 and a few hours of work/fun !

x 2 - your big scale models are truly amazing, Tomasz ! -
Some outrageous and exceptional models here... my real crown jewels are still witing to be built (some Fisher resin race cars etc.) - from my about 100 American cars I sold off more than 70 in the last year and only kept a few that are rare or that I like very much: here are 3 of them: 1. JoHan Chrysler Turbine car 2. amt 1961 T-Bird (original) - got this one from a pen-pal in the U.S. in 1985 as a built-up, unpainted glue-bomb - spraypainted and reassembled again - I will restore this one day using some parts of amt's 62 T-Bird (original wheels and tires are still there! 3. JoHan 1968 Imperial promo (green) -from the same guy as above - painted it in white and mint green - interior mostly untouched (could bring a lot of money today if I had it left in original condition!)
