Danke, Oliver !

Thank you, Mark! Thanks, Dennis !
-
Thanks, Monty - back then it was easy to get one. Thanks, Craig ! Thanks, David - it was a quick build - I even didn't paint the interior (apart from instrument panel and steering wheel) Thank you, Bill ! Merci, Philippe! Thank you, Trevor - start it ! Restoring/saving old built-ups can be a lot of fun!

and don't forget the 1/24 Hchette WRC collection (manufactured by Ixo): for example The MG Metro 6R4 and a few Lancias and Peugeots:

Very delicate model - looks super nice !
-
Thank you, Benton !

No problem, Luc - the Kadett rally and the Diplomat coupé have been added a few days ago - so I believe that maybe in 2 or 3 weeks the next models will be added - just watch the site often!
-
Don't worry, Luc - just go to the following site and there you have it: https://www.modelissimo.eu/ - you may switch to dutch or french, if you want - choose scale 1/24, and then Hachette Opel Collection and voilà: 7 different 1/24 Opels available at the moment (surely there will follow more)

Thank you, Ray ! Thanks, Mike - for me the whole car is ugly : it is bulky and misshapen, and the ragtop - oh well ! From 1956/57 onwards, the Corvette had a much more attractive look. Thanks, Trevor - though I built it box stock originally, it sits too high (almost SUV-like) - if built today, I would choose the Revell(ex-Monogram) version.

Thank you for your nice comment, Carl !

Thank you, Carl ! Sorry that I overlooked your comment.

Thanks, Alan - Gareth has already informed me that Humbrol paints are no longer what they used to be.

Sprue Stretching Tutorial
1959scudetto replied to StevenGuthmiller's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Many thanks for your tutorial Steve - the simple solutions are often the best! It doesn't get easier than that ! -
Thanks, Chris ! Thank you, John ! I would say JoHan kits often are lacking in details, but their proportions always look spot-on! Thanks, Lee!
-
Great model, Albert - with Kowalski's license plate (Vanishing point) !
-
Thanks, Bob ! Thank you, Gareth for this info - I wasn't aware of that - it must be far more than 20 years ago that I bought my last Humbrol paints. Thank you, David - glad you like it. I prefer rods and customs with a certain amount of chrome as in this case - I don't like the monochromatic paint jobs of the late 80's and 90's (chromeless, too), but this is a matter of personal taste.
-
Looks very good, Alex - have you lowered the front a little bit? Did the kit have any issues (I have it in my stash, albeit the Lindberg version - when it came out first) ?

Around 1986 I built amt's 1953 Corvette - it had some issues and was that ugly that I ordered Fred Cady decals from Model Empire to turn it into the 1954 Carrera Panamericana participant: in its first international competition, the corvette was ill-fated: a rod punched through the Blue-Flame Six and the race was over. I swapped the stock for some red-painted spoke wheels, removed the teeth grille, replaced it wire mesh and applied the decals. I'm sure I have made many mistakes in some details, and I had to guess where the decals might go - there were no templates or photos available that could be used as a guide. Anyway, though the car still looks ugly, I took it out of the closet, applied road dirt and grime with some pastel chalks and took a few pics:

International Scout Family
1959scudetto replied to dragstueck's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Spectacular builds, Jürgen - I admired them already as a load on the transporter. -
Thank you Bill! Thank you Frank - the interior is still unpainted - the kit was molded in that cream color.
-
Thanks Walter - if I had it still today, I probably would detail it with parts from Revell's Starsky & Hutch Fran Torino and paint it in dark green like in Clint Eastwood`s movie.
-
Thank you, Michelle - a detailed kit of this car would be fine! Thanks, Eric! Thank you, Dave - I like that body style and I think JoHan got it right. Thanks Jay! Thank you. Larry! Thanks, Richard ! Thank you, Ray - I like that car, too (that's why I kept it while selling off all other muscle cars from my collection) Thank you, Gene.
